    Hi guys

found a bolt jammed in a pipe to the SAS on my 990.

does anybody know whether putting a bolt in the SAS inlet of the airbox has either a positive or negative effect? Everything I read suggests there is a little more to the SAS removal.

it’s got a powercommader III and Leovince cans. No idea how it’s been mapped (yet).

The person who owned the bike before me made some mods.
One of them is basically just blanking off the pipe going from the airbox to the SAS which I would assume creates some weird air condition in the engine (drawing in now air).

That airbox inlet is actually an outlet, to feed fresh air in the exhaust and keep the catalytic converter lit.
The bolt is a redneck job to disable the SAS.

Quick way to disable the SAS, yes. Easy to undo and hides the fact, which may be needed in some states.
