I made up brackets to lower the foot pegs on my GS500 [see pic] and now when folded, the side stand comes to rest at the bottom of the left peg extension assembly.

Looking for ideas on a way to solve this. I considered:

    - getting our friend the welder who helped me build these up to weld up a dogleg/curved version of the OE side stand so it'll clear behind the peg mount, but that looks like a really laborious and crummy way to do it.

    - finding a side stand assy from some other bike that can be bolted to the frame below the engine like on a dirt bike, using square U-bolts or something... but I am not finding precisely what I want in the market.

    Ideas?
