As far as revenue goes, I don't know about ATV and Side-by-side riders, but in this thread alone there were over 90 people registered to camp for a weekend. All of those people needed food/drink/shelter and none of those things are free, unless brought from home somehow. I don't know how much others spent, but I know I put at least $75 directly into the surrounding communities in gas and food money. Hopefully these community leaders listen to the business owners who can see the positive impacts that motorized tourism can bring, and not a small handful of detractors.

I know. I was one of them that dropped some coin in Boulder Junction, Conover, and Minocqua. I bought my bike and it had an aftermarket pipe on it. After riding the rally I decided it was much too loud and replaced it with a stock can. It's almost like an electric bike now. Lol.

If you have some free time, research the Dairymen's company(now Borden). They own a huge part of the boulder junction area including lakes... I'd be curious to see if there is a connection to the protesters? Maybe not. Either way there's some high rollers with big bank rolls influencing boulder junctions future.

Nah, it's not nearly so complicated. It is just a few people that don't like motorized recreation. For brief periods they scare a few others into thinking it is bad. In the end, it all works out. The ATV tide has been moving across Vilas County despite isolated pockets of resistance. For Boulder Junction, it isn't "if" but is instead "when". The smart path for Boulder is to introduce it a little at a time on their terms to make sure it works out like they want it to.

Nothing official yet about the new dates. Camp Holiday does know the correct dates. I don't want to step on toes by posting them. Campsite booked!
