Wife and me went for a ride up to Peterborough to get out of the Hill's for a while to warm up. We took a fair amount of dirt up there and more coming back.
    Here's some pics and vid's

A few Wind Turbines on the way up.

Stayed in an old railway carriage just out of Peterborough. Very nice accommodation and cheap.

Thought this might be worth a look. Yep sure was.

The going got a bit rough so this is all the video of the ride up to the peak.

Stopped for coffee in a hut on the Heysen Trail.

    Bit I mention the Roo's and Emu's?

Another break at Burra Creek and off home. Great weekend away. 610 km total. First time out on the new Wilbur's, what a great upgrade from the stock 88000 km old shocks. Front tyre also helped on the dirt roads. Have gone from a Shinko 705 to a 804.

Ive talked my boss into letting me go to a 4 day week so I can see many more rides in the future.

Nice photos Dave. Last time I stayed at Peterborough I rented a cabin at the caravan park rather than tent it again. It was the coldest night ever! Electric blanket on setting 2 all night. Next morning heading down the back tracks to Booberowie on the DRZ the heated grips barely coped.

Did you visit the motorcycle museum while in Peterborough ?

Yep was a cold night, A/C on all night in the carriage, a cozy 16 deg. Was a bit chilly when we left in the morning but soon warmed up. We have visited the museum a few years back and didnt have time for a look this trip. You really need to put aside 3 or 4 hrs to have a good look i reckon.
We will be back in the area soon, lots of great roads out there.
