Based on the fact that you didn't respond to my specific question abouta this particular sets of tyres, I shall assume that they are in of those that you got for free. Could you, please, refer me to a review of yours where you didn't like the product (hopefully not one of those that you not sent to you for free ))
Here you see a quote ( sorry in Dutch)of a test on a Dutch forum of the TKC70 tyres. After a view months there were all cracks in the tires. I didn't like that. Also I posted the reaction of Continental about these cracks. Did received a new set of tyres, but again cracks. mei 2017, 01:41 Beste Conti TKC 70 gebruikers. The pictures of the tyres. So you can see what I mean. But enough about this. I drive my 9th V-Strom, so if I would not be honest, I also kidding myself. BTW, As you can see on the pictures, there are also a set A41 tyres. Those I got for free, just in case I didn't like the AX41. The AX41 I bought
@mminob Ah I see. Chaparral doesn't show the current line up! https://www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/detail/pr154/
That's what I thought , however , Bridgestone shows the direction arrows pointing a different way then usual ?
I am wondering why there is no mud on the tires or your bike while it is parked in the middle of a muddy road. Looks more like advertising photos than testing.
I am currently running Karoo 3 front and rear, and these are looking very similar, wit the exception that every other line of tread has more blocks, so they might end up being my next tire. It would be good to know how they do on the pavement, as I am always shocked at how well my Karoos do.
We picked it up, put it on a muddy road and took a picture. The muddy road was frozen. It's winter over here.
I personally would still like to see a tire in between this one and the tourance style tire. There is alot of space between the blocks on this and on the Karoo 3 also, while the tourance has too little space.
Have now driven 500km with it and must say, country roads, highway, byways and off-road great. But on wet roads and iron ramp of the ferry, it loses grip. Then you have an oops moment. On wet roads they are not a good as the A41, exactly what the diagram on the firs page indicates. Will be continued
This, loses grip on wet roads comment, kind of makes me not want to try them, over the Tractionator. I ride in all weather conditions and for a tire to not hold when it's wet, huge issue. The Shinko 805 is my "go-to" tire, it does everything that I ask it to, but if I can get the same performance and more miles for $50 more, then I'm willing to try this AX41. Have you ever had the Shinko 805, if so, how does it compare? If not, no biggie. Thanks.
Sorry Tigerrider007. The Shinko isn't as popular in Europa/ Netherland as in the US , Australia ore New Zealand and other country's with hills en off-road terrain. The Netherlands is Flat en you can't drive almost nowhere legal off-road. Now driven over 1000km with the AX41 and still feels great off road en dry roads.
Ah, no problem. I'm just concerned with your comment about them not handling well in the wet weather. If they behave well in all conditions, I'd be more willing to try them. Thanks for all your info.
