I'll post up info about trails and roads in central Colorado, just like I did last year. I'll update post #1 as info becomes available.

With the mild winter and now warm weather we've been having, I decided to start this thread a little early this year. First things first - check out several Rainbow Trail access points.

    East side of Highway 285.

Looks like it'll be a while before we can start clearing downfall.

Around Villa Grove? Maybe around 9,000? Just guessing really, as we just rode the desert stuff.

It's been warm here. The snow is really going-a-way fast.

Ah. OK; I met someone solo on a 300 ktm at the quarry; said he knew Ramz. I went up Deadhorse, and rode past the quarry up to Jackrabbit hill area. Hit a little snow past the saddle on the north facing side, but easy to get through.

    Howdy!

I did not know there was anyone reporting on which trails are open around here.

I am sure I will enjoy the site.

    Rode the rainbow trail today.
I took the trail from the toll road towards poncha pass.
Got shut down close to the the highway.
The eastern facing mountain is still covered in snow.
Should be able to make it through in a week or so.

Cochetopa creek is open about half way.

214 is closed about 2 miles up.

Pass creek is closed up towards the top.
Still made it out on the fingers.

Marshall pass is open up to Tent creek.

Made it about 1/8 miles from the snow mobilers cabin.
I could see the roof but couldn't make the last down hill.
    One week.

beginning of the b-sides trail. closed.

:eek1 It takes some serious measures to keep quads off the singletrack, though.

I did a bit of scouting on Sunday to see what the other side of the Divide looked like. It looks very good for an early trail clearing and opening this year.
