Old thread sorry! I also have a B105P. Mine has never been apart with 336 miles. It fired up 3rd kick after not running for 20 years.

Early on in this thread it is mentioned that the 1st model year for the B105P is 1967. Mine is titled as a 1966 model. Would that be due to the fact it was actually 1966 when 1st titled? Or was there in fact a 1966 model?

Mine has some sort of chrome guard that attaches to the front fork. The lower fork legs have threaded bosses for bolts that attach the guard. It looks “factory” to my eye however I have not seen this on any other B105P. The 2nd owner bought it from the 1st owner in 2003. He was told by the original owner it was there from new at that time.

Anyone know what this thing is?

No expert here - but I bet your chrome guard is a loop from a different model used to mount a low front fender.

Great write up and build. Any leads on where to get a sight glass and emblem for the oil injection tank? Not finding a sight glass on E-Bay. Also looking for the gas tank emblems, but I do see some expensive ones on there.

Here's a photo from about a week ago of the Bearcat in this build thread I made. 122584679_1048203522289582_2640534751370447319_o.jpg
It was also a show winner in St Paul MN back in 2018! Pictured here between a couple of my other Suzuki's

Do you happen to have a current product you use for sealing tank necks? Now you've got me spooked about one I just painted.

Looks like the product I use is discontinued. I would suggest checking with hobby shops (RC planes) and asking what they have in the way of "fuel proof" not "fuel resistant" clear gloss. Here's a product the looks similar, however I've never tested it, since I still have plenty left of the mentioned brand. It only takes a thin line at the paint edge applied with an artist's fine point brush.
