With this week's rains its a good time to torch some brush piles that I've been stacking for a while now. I've got a little quonset cabin up on Grand River on the upper end of Hudson Lake just North of the old and new Strang bridges.

This is not some major riding rally, but just a nice little gathering of ADVers BSing & drinking around a bonfire. There is plenty of camping area and very little floor space in the cabin and even some deck space. I've got some pork chops(depending on how many show up) and potatoes to make up some french fries so we won't starve and you can bring whatever you want to cook on the grill and what you perfer to drink, will have some on hand.

I have two piles to burn, will probably start the lesser earlier in the afternoon say around 4 or 5 and then the big one that evening.

PM me for directions if you're interested.

There's a large hottub there too in case someone wants to soak a bit:deal
Should not be a problem being too dry anymore with all the rain last night and this morning.

Best to do the guns next time, I don't want any box of shells thown in the fire in a drunken craze, but a few fireworks couldn't hurt anything I suppose:wink: I'll pm you a google map to the place.

Should be good weather to burn and have a beer or 3:freaky

Can you PM the map to me. I am in OKC for a few weeks on business, without a bike. I could use something to do on the weekend. Thanks.

hopefully we won't need AL's ff services but hate to see you miss this one Rick, I could use a sober tractor operator if things get wild with the fire:cry

Just a primer for things to come, looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I've got a heck of a lot more than 2 brush piles that are needing burned up:deal

Now we are going way beyond just nearby interstate, maybe nationwide:rofl
PM sent, would be nice to have a representative from the left coast. Little bit of a drive from OKC but we should be able to make it worth your while and something totally different than your work in the city.

    Come on down I say.

Here's a few pictures to orientate(used here as an intransitve verb) at you are coming North up N4400 RD.

This is the lane you turn East on at the first t-intersection on N4400 RD:

You might be greeted by the local neighborhood dog, he has never been know to be agressive or involved in any local maulings. He goes by Boomer, his owner is a fanatic:

    Good boy

Looking back up the lane you will be coming down, looks like a good day to burn, got a little more sprinkle of rain last night:

Drive on down and park where you like but not too close to the big pile o burn stuff:

Little fresh stuff on top from couple of weeks ago, but some real good dead stuff underneath, should be a nice one once it gets cranked up.

And the little quonset hut aka house of party:

I'm going to be doing a little mowing and weedeating and put the loader back on the tractor this afternoon and will be out at the quonset around 2pm until late tomorrow morning. Come on out and enjoy the fire and food and good people or not.

I've got a net connection there and will check up on pms if there are any straglers. Bring some beer if you want, plan on having pork chops, my special homemade french fries, and some sweet corn on the cob until I run out. Got some Blue Moons and Budlights but not a whole lot. Bring your shorts for the hottub if you like, just refilled it last week:wink:

    Looking forward to good times:freaky
