Please be aware this is being done off of a iPhone. Auto correct is in full effect!!

I'm going to make my BIG loop starting May 28th. I had originally planned on making this in 2 segments but I've decided to quit my job of 15 years :thumbup and start out on the 28th. I'll be heading south from Seattle and making my way down PCH 1 to Ventura where I'll circle back around north on 395 to the Alvord Lake bed and from there back to Seattle??? I haven't really thought about that part yet.... :hmmmmmbut it'll come to me like all good things do...This is the Burrito - I could use one from my favorite spot. Corrales in Ventura on Thompson Blvd.

After getting back to Seattle around the 7th or 8th, Me and my good riding bud @Curtis76, will be heading North. We thought we'd make a toste at midnight to the Sun God of Summer Solstice @ AKA: D2D - https://advrider.com/f/threads/d2d-2019-general-info-and-comment-thread-read-the-first-post.1359671/ ….. Hit the Arctic Circle sign for a beer and an Otter Pop or 2 and come back south on a road?? TBD.. Otter Pop!! :vardy

This one is going to be loose and easy as I really haven't done any planning, a little bit but not much! All I know is that an epic journey will following with many mis-guided ideas and ill planned thoughts that sounded good at the time.

I gave up on the DSLR so my phone is will capture all of the beautiful stuff, and I'll look at it every once in a while, while looking for something else, in the photo library of my phone, while looking for something else. :D

    :dllama::dllama::dllama:

It should go something like this..

    Seattle - PCH 1 Ventura - 395 N. - Alvord - Seattle - Dawson City YT - Arctic Circle Sign - Banff - Coeur d'Alene - Seattle.

Get ready for visual bliss!! I'm doing my best at the planning aspect

So you're going back... Just can't keep away from the joys of California.

But traveling with friends can ease the journey.

    Haha! Nice one! :lol3

No sir I need a burrito from my favorite place, say hi to some old friends, and hit the northbound loop for D2D! I was thinking of stopping past Warm Springs for a revisit but it’s just to far outta the way. Hard to believe that was 4 years ago.

I'm back to work July 10th. :2guns Boooo!! Sooooooo, The Epic Burrito Journey will begin on May 28th and end on, or around, June 6th or 7th? Tentatively.. Give the girl a bit of a kiss and head out north with Curtis on June 13th. That'll drop us in Dawson City around the 19th or so. Wanna come up for a bit? Give the Lunar Lander a run out to the boarder or beyond? I think Curtis is going to cutoff from me around Prince George on the way back down. , And that pops me going south into the Canadian Rockies to Coeur d'Alene. From there I'll head west home around the 4th of July.

I've looked a bit at the route today. Southbound should be nice as long as the weather holds. With any luck it wont be foggy in the morning but I'm not putting money on that. Experience tells me better.

The way North should be good thou.

Out of Ventura is Hwy 33. A sweet moto road up into the mountains overlooking the coast and then to Lake Isabella - 395. 395 N. to …..Austin Nv To Winnemucca.

As you and I know well, the Big Empty is a play field for the unlucky.

Launch is tomorrow morning! The bike is ready! Valve adjustment, tires, and all of the fluids have been changed. I just need to pack some clothes and it’s South for that Burrito I’ve been craving!

From last night ———So I had a pretty excellent day!! I’m sitting on the beach outside of Waldport Oregon waiting for the sun to set. The weather was a little chilly this morning but it warmed up to a very pleasant 73. I had lunch at sweet little fish and chips joint.
    F2BB826C-54DA-417D-BE96-1E9051B45583.jpeg

Then continued on down the coast into Astoria. This particular section is one of my favorites on 101. I’m not sure why really but it just seems out there...

I ended up camping just north of Yachats on the beach. It’s a awesome little place with a full bathroom/showers and good little Mexican restaurant about 2 miles away. :thumbup

I had another good day today. Started on the beach and ended up in the Redwoods. I grew up on the coast and I just can’t seem to shake it. I surfed off of Ventura Point and Emma Wood State beach growing up in the 80s and now I work as Marine Diesel Tech. There’s something about the vastness of it that draws me back over time. Locals Only Bro!! :gun2 Don’t be harshen my mello :lol3 . PCH is a slow go with all of the small towns and 55 speed limit. I’ve accepted it and it’s nice to just ride and take it all in. Yachats has a nice little coffee shop where I started this morning. $1.50 a cup is on my list of things the city doesn’t provide. The Big Kato has developed a countershaft seal leak so I’m off to KTM San Francisco in the morning. They have a 3 seals in stock so I guess I’ll be putting on a DIY countershaft seal replacement on the side of the road. @Metalcarver kind like the fuel pump in SLC except I’m solo and don’t need to catch the crew. The bummer of it is that the repair will eat in to my Death Valley plans. :dunnoOh well theres always next time for that. This is a good shake down for Alaska so I’m actually glad it’s happening now.

I had a bunch of this today. Just fantastic!

I hit Bandon for lunch and got some more of the blue stuff. Sensational riding.

And on down to Cresent City where I found the smoke coming off my rear header pipe.

And now the Redwoods! I was going to push but figured meh. I’m camping and chillin.

I camped here once about 20 years ago and none of the pictures came out so I see it as a blessing in disguise!

My good buddy gave this coin as a wedding gift for situations like the one I’m in. It’s an excellent thing on the bike. Ride straight to SF and fix my leak or keep on Hwy1? Apparently I’m going down Hwy1. :thumbup

    Maybe So it is.
