My idea of riding to Tadoussac to watch whales in the wild began sometimes in the middle of Winter 2014. After planning and advice from several Canadian buddies this ride got completed last night at 12:30AM. The two of us from Michigan rode straight from Quebec City all the way home (800 Miles) yesterday. Pawel and I decided to give each other an honorary Iron Butt Certificate as it was really not quite a 1000 Miles.

I will post our RR and pictures here. I hope my friends who joined me on this trip also post here. And I also hope others who have ridden in the area can post here also.

Time to go look for the memory card reader,
    Simba

I wanted to meet Pawel in Sarnia, Canada. But he insisted that we cross the Border together. Later he told me that it was because I was the bigger terrorist threat and if anybody would be in trouble it would be me.

    Pawel and his BMW RT1200.

Imu and his Burgman. The Burgman has a rear car tire and can only go straight. Check out the coffee cup holder.

then Pawel went to explain to me how squatting is so much healthier and reduces risk of colon cancer. We don't need any Public Restrooms in Poland.

I had decided that the first poutine I had would be in the title of this thread. As would be the first whale I saw.

    Here is the first poutine:

and the only whale I saw:

Actually, I did see a couple of belugas but they were too far for my cheap camera.

Pawel really enjoyed the traffic on 401 Express lanes.

he kept giving me the ADV salute while stuck in this traffic as I am the one that chose the route.

you are welcome, friend, you are very welcome. Back to you with the ADV salute. Get a Burgman next time.

Pawel quickly did something on his Zumo GPS. Then, in an instant we were on Highway 2. I don't remember how we got here. I do remember praying to Allah a lot as we were weaving in and out of traffic on the 401.

Here is Kirk (Vikingtazz). He was gracious enough to offer us accommodations. We are cheap and accepted.

Both Pawel and I were hungry. Kirk had prepared this for us. It was the best BBQ salmon I have ever had.

The next day I woke up early and walked to Kirk's frontage. The St. Lawrence River is impressive. I could have stayed here and taken a ton of pictures, but the dummies with me wanted to ride to Tadoussac and experience three days of constant rain.

Kirk's Dad rode on his Kawi. He was smart as after a couple of hours he decided to call it good and head back home.

The sign that Pawel kept showing me on the 401 'Express' is contagious. Here is Kirk doing the same.
He rides a fine Kawasaki C14. It has only 2 speeds--parked and fast.

Going through tolls. Always hang back and let someone else lead. The lead has to pay the tolls for all.

I had poutine several times during the several days in Quebec.
This might have been the best.

The Burgman with dark side rear tire--it only goes straight. I added yellow tape for added visibility for possible rides in Montreal.

We got to Quebec. But the plan was take the ferry into Quebec City and nobody knew how to do it.

So while Kirk and Pawel were 'looking into it' I asked them to follow me. They reluctantly agreed. I took them close and then Kirk took over. We drove a little bit more and drove down a street and a ramp and were asked to park our bikes.

So after a couple of minutes I asked at which gate the ferry would arrive so I could be ready to board it with the bike. Both Pawel and Kirk looked at me and shook their heads in unison. So I asked the ferry dude. He looked at me and looked at my riding buddies wondering if I was kidding or something. He replied in broken English and a heavy French accent "You are riding it".

We were already on the ferry and I never saw it. Okay, I am a dummy. I admit it.

Here are a couple of pics:
