We all took a step backward when you weren't looking! LOL
As has been mentioned. We are set. We have a date and a place. We have options for staying and eating. If someone has a way of doing a shirt or sticker, please do.
Remember the 1st and foremost rule of BYOB.
There are no FUCKING RULES!
Show up, have fun. That is all!
You can always camp out on the floor in my room.
I believe a ride to Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub is in order.
I have been to enough of these BYOB's that I can bring the newbies up to date. Feel free to add to the list.
This is not a rally in the sense of a BMW Rally or Harley Rally. It is a gathering of ADVrider.com inter web friends.
The name BYOB means Bring Your Own Bike. No one cares what kind of bike, as long as it runs. If it doesn't, someone will probably help you fix it.
Don't bring broken bikes!
There are no "official" rides. You come, you mingle, you find someone to ride with or ride alone if you prefer.
There will be folks doing dual sport rides.
There will be folks bringing pure dirt bikes on trailers
There will be folks doing paved rides.
Some folks will drink all day Saturday instead of riding.
Speaking of drinking, Yes there will be drinking but hopefully not while riding.
With drinking comes stories.
With stories comes lies. Come prepared.
Sometimes someone will step forward and offer to lead a ride. I will do that this year.
Sometimes someone will step forward and arrange for t-shirts and stickers.
Sometimes someone will step forward and arrange a group dinner for Saturday night.
Sometimes none of that happens.
What always happens is fun and memorable.
See you bums in June!
I did that on one of the Ox Yoke BYOB's. Cool place and was thinking I might lead a Saturday lunch ride there.
You can't get there from there.
For history buffs, you will find plenty to capture your interest in this area. One of my favorite stops is the Austin Dam Ruins Memorial. http://austindam.net/
For beer lovers, check out the nearby https://straubbeer.com and their eternal tap! https://straubbeer.com/eternal-tap/
