Are the dirt roads west of CS ride-able now? Woodland Park and Divide area
So if was looking for clear two track I'd have to go down into Northern NM?
You would probably have to go to southern NM, Arizona, or Texas.
There is another system moving thru the area tomorrow.
I’m headed to Lucerne Valley for the next week for the Hammers racing.
I’ll let you know how the riding is there, bringing the bikes.
Johnson Valley was pretty cool when I was there in 2017. Went there escaping MT snow
Northern NM is colder than a witches pettutty right now.
A couple feet of snow above 9k. I would recommend
Down south or even big bend & as mentioned, weather
Is headed in. GL.
Is there much two track or single track out around Peyton?
Not I'm aware of. Closest thing I'm aware of is RAM off-road (private area) due south on 94.
No "trails", but there are a good number of dirt roads out there. Figure a good 30-45 minutes to get to the nearest trails. Doesn't sound bad, but east-west travel in this town is terrible. There's aren't any highways, so you have to drive through town and fight traffic lights. It's really frustrating. Fountain, or even Pueblo West would be a better choice for something more rural because of interstate access.
South of town looks pretty sweet as far as being more rural. Not much for sale down there. Thanks
Give it a month or two.
Anyone willing to enlighten me on the upcoming Pikes Peak Hill Climb?
I'm considering camping at Crags and hiking up to Devil's Playground for a morning practice session and the race, if the trail is open. I've searched your thread and ADVRider but am not finding much info.
