Great report, thanks for daring to be different in your choice of rides, you got to see things some would probably have missed riding at a faster pace. Interesting that you got delayed at the border, I was on the ferry to Bellingham with the rider of a Burgman scooter from Atlanta, he said they completely searched his bike too, I think they're profiling scooter riders :lol3

Subscribing because this is EXACTLY what I want to eventually do with my CT90! Great job DaBinChe, those little Symbas are awesome bikes (I'd have gone that route but my $700 CT was more in my price range :D).

Ha, I can't believe you did that on a SYM! You, sir, are a true adventurer!

So other than the broken exhaust bolt and flat tires, there were no issues with the bike? I've been curious about the quality of those SYMs, and if it was that trouble-free, I'm seriously impressed!

Thank you for checking in ! .

Those bug bites can be dangerous ~ the tree huggers in my shop always rag on me for squishing any spider or fly that gets close enough but I know I'm right in doing so ~ a mechanic just died FIVE YEARS after he ignored a brown recluse spider on his shoe and it bit his foot.... :eek1 .

    How's the Moto doing ? .

Didn't realized that folks were still on this thread. So the bike ran great. Only issues were what was mentioned. Since then I have sold the Symba to a fellow that moved to the BayArea from Alaska.

Currently I'm working on this: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=741115
I'm planning on doing south of the border with it.
