Ducati if you are listening I will happily re-create this video with a multistrada or scrambler if you provide the bike and agree to cover the ambulance bill.

Had good day, temperature in 40s Section 9 went quick. Lunch in Cedar Run. Then in section 8 Kim's bike would not shift out of 1st gear. She and I limp off to a town in search of auto parts store around 330. Other guys continued and plan was to meet up at end of section 8.

I changed the oil and now bike shifts gears again :confused

Now we are back together ready for tomorrow.

So I missed the intro here - what’s the story on your trip, @kaosrider? Train, New York, loaded ADV bikes, “sections”? Looks like a great trip!

I've come to believe that it's always raining in VA. :lol3

The last two times I've ridden through there, I've had to deal with a Nor'easter.

We loaded bikes on train at Sanford, Fl. It drops you off outside DC. Then we rode up to north end of MABDR and now doing the route South.

Just wanted to share a quick Memorial Day type story

I was never issued a gun or shot at, but did quite a bit of bitching and complaining about cleaning a submarine and having to stand the mid watch.

One day we ended up mooring right across from the Arizona memorial. Just a couple hundred yards away from a few hundred sailors who paid the ultimate price.

Really hit me looking across the water. I was incredibly lucky to clean, watch, fix, and get yelled at.

    Happy Memorial Day.

Thanks to all who paid the ultimate price.

So today was section 7 and 6. Beautiful weather today, warmed up to high 60s in mountains. The route is perfect for Kaoswife, great packed gravel and dirt in North sections. Had a great lunch at 50s burger and malt joint in town between 6 and 7. Having great time. These routes are very "Bill" like.

Today was another very nice day. Section 5 had some nice woods early, then gave way to more rural farm lands. Everything is very scenic. Took us much longer to do 5. Late lunch at end in Sheppardstown.

Got about a 1/3 of the way into 4 then called it quits for the day. Good times had by all.
