Great job Don.
Here's a picture of my 1980 Yamaha cafe triple. I bought it from a car lot back in 83, rode it for a while then did a frame up on it in about 86. It has a hand fabricated stainless steel exhaust. (that took a while) The fairing is from a FZ750. The rear swingarm has been milled and braced to fit a oversize rear tire. A friend of mine did the seat. ( I have his name and # if anyone would like it for custom seat work) It's been a fun bike and still a kick to ride. 2HE
That's TIGHT! I'd LOVE to ride that baby!
I Like to build Cafe style bikes and believe me when I say that there's a serious amount of Love in that baby.. Wouldn't have necessarily been my direction but that's a real beauty..
Oh and that red BSA isn't too shabby either..
Which bit is Norton ? Apart from the logo.
That bike is sick- but slapping a norton sticker on it is a travesty
<!-- message --> For those of you who like this bike check out Ebay. The guy selling it is a friend of mine and a VERY straight shooter. I've ridden with him up at Deals Gap and the bike runs a good as it looks.
This is a pure beauty. Remembers me my H2 and other triples. Good old days....
I thought I would share. I really don't know who ownes this, but I think he did a pretty good job.
real cool site for BMW cafe's - http://www.rockerboxer.com/page/page/1415111.htm
This last bike was really well done, but the faux "manx" flyscreen with inlaid headlights really made me cringe
Tell me more about these little gems. Any sites with info?
I've always thought that the first generation Virago would make a nice cafe bike. They've been raced in the past with some success. Hmmmmm........maybe a cafe/AHRMA bike is in my future.
WOW! does that ever get the imagination going. Plenty of those out there for good prices...
Wow, that picture doesn't do the ACME bike justice. A couple of years ago they had an RC51 and a Duc 998 powered one (IIRC) at the Las Vegas Motorcycle auction and they were both orgasmic.
Made by Mecatwin (French builder)
1/2 a climax engine or all 4 cylinders ? Got a link to the build on this one?
