I had a hoot out east of town. Bike was on it's side 8 times - one good second gear crash - all I remember is landing on my back - ribs still hurt two weeks later - back protector just paid for itself. Bike needed a bit of work, but he's OK. Just got my Oxtar Boots (clones of BMW Savanna) so now I'm really ready. First nice weekend I'm doing the Great Divide Trail from Rooseville south... see how far I get in 2 days. Anybody see that report on ROB TV (should be re-broadcast this weekend) where they go to Munich, go on a ride to Austria with some BMW bigwig. When asked if BMW was going to increase market share in North America with image or technology, the BMW clown responded that it was the "image" of the BMW brand that was going to steal buyers away from Harley Davidson!!! All he said about the GS, BMWs best selling model was "ohh the lines.....the lines". I guess they thought too much technical detail would just confuse those Harley boys... Gotta go for a ride.. Playing in the dirt hills. Hit 135 kph here. The crash scene ?????? Still have no idea why I went down, slippery dry grass and grabby assisted brakes? A little too early out here.
