    Lost Roadie,

I was on this same trail a day before you were on Feb 19th

    Great area to ride in

    Thought your picture looked familiar

Another installment of good times in the Adventure Republic, this time in ideal conditions hunting jeeps on Black Gulch and Bradshaw trails above Lake Isabella.

Out crawling around in search of desert single track, you find great things on the California Adventure.

    Sample from yesterday's ride

Took a little ride in Los Padres NF yesterday. Headed out from Upper Oso to Lower Camuesa until I hit a locked gate. I tried to attach the GPX, but this is my first time trying it, so if there's a better way, my apologies.

Nice ride, but pretty rough and washed out in spots for a noob like me. I managed to survive just fine, though.

It's a pretty casual ride until you get to Upper Camuesa, at which point the road starts to disintegrate.

It necks down to single track here and there

It gets a little gnarly getting into and out of some of the washes, but overall, a great ride.

That 360 cam really brings the perspective.

Too bad you aren't there tomorrow.

    It's a GoPro Max 360...

You have to finagle an exported video file with a Spatial Media Metadata Injector in order to make it 360 pannable...

    I don't want to disappoint

My buddy and I took our 2 little pigs out yesterday for some fun and frolic (great ride DocMark)
96 miles of desert riding outside of Ridgecrest, Ca.

I am amazed that I still find new things out in the desert. We even did a few water crossings and rode up a bunch of canyons exploring. Located an old abandon mining operation.

    Enjoy

Having owned my XR650R since 2003 I pride myself on my ability to navigate my bike through most if not all terrain. I feel like I have a full understanding of its characteristics. Like a jockey riding a race horse, every once in awhile one gets thrown from the beast that they are riding.

Docmark, to answer your question. Yes I was thrown off my 650R. I am just glad you did not have your camera out taking pictures of me rolling around the deep sand washes that we were riding through. It was a great ride.

I may not have a fancy camera like Black 8, or be able to take as good of photos, or have as good looking of a bike, or have found a bunch of cool shit in the desert like Desertskyy, or... oh screw it. Here's some pics of today's ride in Los Padres. Really nice loop north of Los Olivos including a little jaunt up Zaca ridge. Pretty casual. Highly recommended.

Love Happy Canyon and Figuroa Mtn Rd. Such a nice bit of riding. The twisties, the views, even a tiny bit of dirt. So nice! But the green slime at that one little water crossing nearly gets me every time! So slippery.
