Understood. It appears that google does not allow direct posting of images using bbcode anymore (funny because the photo in the post above that is from the same google account). I've now uploaded them directly to the forum instead.

It seems like google photos has made forum posting overly complicated - to the point of being ridiculous. Those pics were not originally in a shared album, but these are now. I tested them on the appropriate subforum and we'll see if they stay up here. Otherwise the copies I uploaded directly to ADVrider are in the prior post. Phew - a lot of work for a few photos...

Not too exciting but my oldest son and I were able to get out and do a few miles out in Cal City this last weekend. Made a quick trip to Randsburg for some lunch and just generally rode around. It was a little hot and very windy (40mph +) to the point instead of spending the night on Saturday as we had planned we just loaded up after our camp out dinner and drove home. Hope the next person at our camp spot enjoyed all of the fire wood we left there. IMGP0043.JPG IMGP0044.JPG

nice pics. congrats on the NTY bike. that will last you for a while. good choice of color too.

it's been a long time. you need to join our future gatherings.

the forum is nice enough to host pictures, 10 per post. so people will have no more excuses.

not the best weather. been windy last week till this weekend. for the same reason, strong winds and gust....i have to end my travel

good see you get to go out riding with your oldest son.

Here is an old Randsburg picture from 2004 for those that remember how busy it used to be plus all of the bike parking out in front of the White House Saloon

My 1 year old XR650R is sitting right out front right under the small American flag with my blue riding jacket across my bars.

who else would love them? hmm, we do just a little...:lol2

so every year we do this training ride to help the noobs become better riders. it's free to all participants including breakfast, snacks, and lunch plus unlimited refreshments. all the coaches are sympathetic to the noobs' need and volunteered to spend the day helping out. we also have a place set up for us to sit, rest, talk, and eat.

we were planning a ride to Big Bear but the weather forecast was in the low 30's. that's very cold for socal lowland valley dwellers. i changed the plan to ride local. been very fortunate to have the nearest trail in less than 30 minutes away from the house. though i have the means to truck the bike, i prefer riding from my driveway to the nearest dirt. besides, great twisty roads are in between my house and the various trailheads.

in spite of short notice, several people showed up.....:y0!

at the usual meeting spot, 7-11 on Osborne and at the bottom of Little T. Craig aka @MrGadalot brought his brand new 890 and living up to his adv handle

aired down in front of the trailhead....but one rider has to air up...:eekers
    [IMG]

we did about 10 miles of dirt and i didn't take a picture, except this one when we got back on Boquet Canyon Road

sorry, it was sent for curbside delivery only. you need to get out of the house even if it's not trash pickup day.
