Great sharing that tequila, er, campsite with you both. Troy Meadow was great on many levels. I'll be back also!

No need for you to be on the 500, that will make it worse for us, you'll be fine on the BIG bike!

Enjoy your trip abroad Tim, one day.
Thanks, work-related trip, and may find a way to sneak in a ride.
BE CAREFUL!!! those 125cc bikes have a way of getting the best of you.
2018.10.05-07 Big Bear - Bluff Mesa Camp and Pioneertown Ride
after the Troy Meadows Camp and Ride, we wanted to do another weekend ride, and Big Bear came to mind. At 7-8k elevation we got to do it soon before winter comes.
pukawai volunteered to scout the remaining available group campground and found Bluff Mesa. this is our first at this site and having pictures, it was an easy to make the decision.
oct. 5-7 is the last weekend we can camp for the 2018 season, so i grabbed the pricy campground, unfortunately my senior citizen discount card won't apply...
the camp was big, clean and remote....so it's all worth it. the camp keeper reminded us that we can only have 10 vehicles. no problem since a moto counts as 1/2.
thanks pukawai for the volunteering and pics.
i left work on friday noon to beat the l.a. traffic. still have chance to eat late lunch and early dinner at Azteca Mex, which is 4 blocks from the Tulip Lane trailhead.
i wasn't planning on trucking but info from handcannon shooter assured that the road is fine. thanks to his in-reach.
what is not to like?
once i arrived in camp, the guys are already huddled around the artificial campfire
soon darkness fell, temperature dropped and finally we saw the value of emmi's magic campfire....
more to follow....
