this female rider sharing her story that her bike just got repaired after she was taken out by a car making donuts which went out of control
    [IMG]

wasn't too long another female rider approached us for help and need to call 911. she just came upon the accident, a near miss head-on and the driver could not get out of her car. we told her to knock on the restaurant door since the crew live upstairs but no response. since i know there's a ranger station in Chilao, so we jumped in. Biggie rushed to the accident site to help and i rode to the station. when i got there, they were already getting on their trucks, apparently, someone succeeded in making the emergency call.

luckily there was no fatality, biggie and i continued our ride and almost traffic-free until we got near the bottom of the crest.

it was a good day of riding and hanging out with the guys. the weather was beautiful too and a lot cooler than in the valley. part of the ride is to test my suspension after Konflict revalved the forks and i have to take some of the preload on the rear since i'm at least 20 lbs lighter now. the Xtrig made the preload adjustment easier.

Me my two brothers and a couple friends hit the Sierra Mountains this labor day. We were able to avoid the fires and the heat for the most part.

We left LA on Wednesday, hit Sequoia National

    My first time seeing redwoods
    [IMG]

Spent the night in Oakhurst thinking we were going to get in to Yosemite but not everyone could secure day pass's thanks to Covid.

So the next day we hit the Sonora pass.

Cant remember this lakes but we were the only ones there, so we stopped for a dip.

From here headed the opposite way back down the Sonora pass and met a couple more riders that night.

O forget we hit Wild Willies Hot springs at sunset before Bishop.

    Then next morning Alabama Hills.

    1090 down
    [IMG]

From here we were going to drop into Kernville through Kennedy Meadows, but the fires stopped that. So we had to take 395.

It was 104 by the time we made it to Kernville, so took a dip in the river for a couple hours.

Ate dinner and slept in Bakersfield.

Next morning to the 33 to Ojai and the PCH all the way back to LA.

    Hello,

Just moved and haven't been on any ride since riding the Sporty home from Mansfield Ohio on May 1st.
Was going to fly to Boise and meet up with daughter at friends house to ride 650 Burg to the coast, then south thru Ore and Ca.
Thanks for all the pics and reports as with the temps and fire not doing it. Going down 93 through the hot desert with a
passenger doesn't sound fun at all. Maybe next spring.
    Maybe just getting OLD!!
