Can any of you share what the standard measurement for fork oil level in the bike is? IE from the highest part of the tube in the most vertical direction to where the oil and tube meet on the other side? Danke!

I think mine was 3 7/8 in the tube roughly.

What's the best bet for good fitting, high quality plastics for an xr600r? Mainly want fender and sides and possibly headlight.

So the REAR XR600R hub is discontinued. I need to know for sure if the 650L hub is basically the same and will interchange I can have spacers made or use the ones off the 600R. Has anyone done this personally not I knew a guy deal.

I can see on the fische that the bearings and seals are the same. so that doesn't have to be touched on.

Front or rear? I know from experience that the front is different but from what I've been told, the rear wheels are interchangeable.

I thought so even the pic in the fische looks the same. I have some SS moose spokes and rim as well as bearings for mine and it seemed all of them showed they interchanged

    THANKS ! PM SENT @thebigman !

    take note @woody's wheel works

Its funny I am doing a 600 for a friend and I have a 85 350R and like the kickstand is the same length and mounts the same. It would be nice to have a editable post that shows what works or is the same but dont share the same PN.

I did 20 oz of ATF in cartridge system 95 forks.
OEM side plastics. Clarke Tank. Maier rear fender. Crf front fender. In red...
Edit: I did 20fl oz of ATF in the stock 95xr6r forks. Which are not the forks in this shot. I just wanted to show my plastics I described. FB_IMG_1578944757087.jpg Is my ticket.

Any of you know what this is? I think it's from an XR600R. Possibly the headlight? ~30mm in diameter. Thanks.

1996 but hadnt had that off. It's thin so probably not for structure.

I have one of those headlight assemblies. It's not from that, I just checked.

How certain are you that it's from the XR?

Not sure but that's the last mechanical project I was working on - I'm usually meticulous to a fault on parts so there's a very good chance it's from something else. I do have a box of mystery parts which should be worth a mint in unobtainium if I ever find the affected parts. Thanks.

Looks like it is getting to be time for a clutch. Was is the "go-to" choice for replacement? OE or ? Fibers, steels and springs just to be sure or measure and choose?

Usually use Tusk myself, get the whole kit, fibres, steels and springs.

I have only bought the oem stuff, as I have really abused it and it lasted a very long time. As a matter of fact I am on only the 2nd one after 18+ years. I also had done the basket with the last one because of grooves in the fingers.
