There must be an update, for when I bought my replacement air box cover for my 19 TRS, I had the option of spending even more money and buying the new updated air box. I didn't ask what the difference was.
It’s thicker material and you can see this if you put the old and new side by side. Look at the bolt hole mounting areas.
You're good.... the guy restoring your bike in 30 years, won't have to wonder why your bike had the incorrect airbox for the year!?!
That's what I thought, but evidently I'm not alone according to Snell... "F) you are the 186,347th person to break your plastic trials airbox since the first ones appeared in the early 1970s"
I was shocked how easily the airbox broke on my 2020 250RR. Must of dropped it "just right". I'm still new to this game so I've working on fundamentals of balance vs. large obstacles. I've probably dropped the bike 5-6 times total. Pretty bad odds... Bought a new one but considering it's price I have not installed it yet. Gorilla tape has been holding the fender on quite well!
I've had lots of things go wrong in sections, but stalling the bike has never been one of them. I'll stay with my last-century kicker thank you very much.
This was in the first 15 minutes on my new bike I have looked online for a price on the carbon air box (just out of interest) but can't even find one listed. Anyone know? Apparently many breaks can be repaired quite well on carbon though..
My basic model maxed me out but I would have liked E start. As it was stu giving me a good deal on the standard I am happy. My biggest fear was the 1 way reiger shock but it seems to work well.I would like a heavier spring in back like my gg had but do not know if the 1 way could be adjusted for it.That spring really helped me unload and clear obstacles better. At 58 not exactly being a gymnast type it was a bit like cheating having that stiffer spring.
