WAs wondering if there would be interest in adding an additional forum devoted to
three wheeled devices (not sidecars). Such as the Can-Am Spyder, the Polaris slingshot
    and related.
Although not specifically a motorcycle or a motorcycle with a sidecar; these new to the motorcycle scene machines are gaining in popularity?

    Any thoughts?

There is already such a forum, called `Hacks`. This lists all 3 wheeled contraptions, not just only sidecars.

and if you make any non-sidecar post there, you get a huge ration of shit from the hack guys who refuse to even acknowledge there are three wheel vehicles other than hacks. The long time hack guys in that thread don't want to learn or consider anything new. Some are real asshats about it. Read through some old threads there and you'll soon see the prevalent attitude.
A three wheel non-sidecar section will never happen.

She is 4'10" tall with a 24: inseam. 2 wheels don't work well for her. The only ones she fits were 125cc baby cruisers.

I say it's a good idea, bring it on. Plenty of us someday will perhaps end up on three wheels due to handicaps, disabilities from motorcycle accidents or just AGE.
For the closed minded that don't get that.... they can just peruse past the threads, much like some of us drift right by posts about Harley's new adventure bike or yet another broke down BMW thread that was started.

Lol!! Yep. Def not a motorcycle. Every time I’d see one on the road I’d snicker a bit. Not so much now that there’s a Spyder in my garage. My wife is finally riding. That’s all that really matters. I know we’ll be laughed at.

She tried her damn best. Took the MSF BRC, got her endorsement, and a baby GS. She was just flat out not comfortable on the bike. Too tall, clutch lever not adjustable, small hands, yada, yada....

Sold baby GS in less than 24hrs and went to Can Am dealer. Hell of a deal on ‘18 models now, crazy deals even. She mounted up on an F3s and had zero problems. So happy for her.

So yeah, I’m all in for a Spyder sub forum. I’m also a Hack owner, (not my primary ride) and agree that the Hack sub forum isn’t the place for Spyders. Also, with the new Can Am Rykers coming out soon, Rally models with shaft drive, I think we’re going to see a whole new game in ADV with reverse trikes.

A Spyder is what got my wife riding again after wrecking her custom BMW K75 20 years ago. Heck, if she wanted one of those Slingshot cars I would have have been all for it. And I do not like those things one darn bit. But whatever works is fine for me.

    Sent while on the road.

My wife won't ride with me on two wheels, but rides her own Spyder. I'm not a fan, but l credit the contraption with getting me a riding partner :thumbup

As far as forums go, if you're a pensioner, spyderlovers.com is a good resource :muutt

I'm tempted by the F3 almost naked spyder

Can't hurt to keep reading about it!

Same here. But so many think they should be the judge of what others should ride! SMH

The first Rykers just arrived at my local dealership. I'll be test riding one hopefully tomorrow.

Took one for a test ride today. It was the rally model with the 900cc motor. Pure fun...I will need to buy a new rear tire in a week. I was drifting on concrete, blacktop...just twist the throttle and grin.

Buddy of mine is interested in them.
Post up a video or report on the 900 when you can.
He's 72 yo and wanting a 3 wheeler. I want him to buy a Harley 3 wheeler because it looks more motorcycleish.

He's always a mile back so it really doesn't matter.
I told him he might get a snowmobile conversion kit for it in the future.

The reverse trike is much more stable, easier to ride, has ABS and traction control. The motor has grunt, but not a high HP motor. The motor is a 998CC motor, with reasonable specs.
