In 1969, I rode a two stroke Suzuki from Mi to Ariz.
It vibrates and made both ways.
    Top speed was 90 mph.
It depends on the will of the rider.

Based on your findings with the oil leak with the tie wrap under the head, and your diagnosis of improper valve settings; (probably right on guess) the owner of this bike should be bringing this to attention of who ever did the work! ..???
Probably to busy with his move and all but that’s shoddy work for sure.
Great report and I liked your short video story presentation to tell a lot of it.

I have CB-X and finding it a perfect all round bike for a smaller guy approaching 70.
Rolled over 25000 kms on it in about 8 months of riding
    Thanks for the report

Ridden the cb500x and dl650 cross country. I think the dl650 is still the better machine for the money. Cheaper, more powerful and has a more interesting motor. But the cb500x is no slouch. It just needs to be revved more but being in the highway on the cb500x feels like torture
