Greb (makers of Kodiaks among others) was in Kitchener for almost 100 years, sadly closed about 10 years ago.
Didn't Kodiak buy Terra years ago for their manufacturing facilities and so they could once again manufacture in Canada as they had been absent for many years? That's out there on the net if one wants to fact check? But these days.....only part of their lineup will be Canadian.Same as Royer, boots are all Canadian.Safety shoes etc are overseas.
Years ago I purchased a Cdn made deer or elk skin glove with wool lining, but I can't remember the company name or from what province Can anyone help? No luck with Google search. I need a new pair thanks brian
Years ago?I did buy something like that for a friend ~25yrs ago.Watson's made in Vancouver? If them you are SOL,brand went overseas.
They appear to have a list of Made in Canada gloves - look like the same Watsons gloves I bought locally last year, they say "Made in Canada" right on the label.
Thanks, but not Watsons or Kombi. It was a smaller family outfit I think from the east coast. Not having any luck finding them....might be out of business
Auclair out of Quebec? I have an old pair of snowmobile mitts with removable sheepskin linings that were awesome. Unfortunately when I went to replace them they no longer manufacture the snowmobile mitts. They still manufacture other items though. https://auclairgloves.com/
I wonder if you're thinking of Paris Glove? They were sold to one of those 'house of brands' conglomerates ten years ago or so. They used to make all kinds of gloves, including industrial gloves. Sorta fits your recollection.
Ganka/GKS? From L'Ancienne Lorette? https://ganka.ca/products/ Darn in that was a good pair of riding gloves them GKS found in Kelowna 10yrs ago.I looked for another pair when I was over there (QC) a couple years ago but discontinued.
From Ganka website: In fact, our well-skilled team can take complete charge of the process, from the source of supply, to the creation of your design, to sending samples for approval, to following up on production and the delivery of your order from China to your firm. Looks like they are just an importer!
Distributor.Still a Canadian company from 1935.Auclair....Watson....Home Hardware.....all Canadian companies and they all import gloves from overseas.
So, you're saying that the Watson Web link I posted is lying when it says "Proudly made in our Burnaby, BC factory"? Interesting assertion.
