CANCELLED ===> 2020 VBOM1000 Planning - July 25, 2020

While riding the 2018 BOM1000 and after Wansfel's passing, I considered that it would be my last BOM1000. After some serious conversations with Big Dog and others, they convinced me that I had at least one more BOM1000 in me. Since we will be out of the country during the summer of 2019, I have decided that I'll do one more BOM1000 which I'm titling the Very Best of Montana 1000 or VBOM1000. It will include what have been the very best of the many prior Montana 1000 rides including at a minimum of riding the Gravelly Range, the Bannock Wagon Road, a visit to the Bannock Ghost Town, the Pioneer Scenic Byway, the Magruder Corridor, and whatever else I decide to include. If there is a section of prior BOM1000 rides you'd like to be considered, post them in this thread.

But most important, if you halfway have thought of doing a BOM1000, but haven't yet, now's the time to begin planning to do what may very well be the last of these rides. We'll be planning to start on the 4th Saturday in July, 2020 or July 25, 2020 at a location to yet be determined but likely to be Elk City, ID. As always, it will be planned to be big bike friendly, but many of us ride littler bikes like WR250r's, KLR's, small KTM's, etc, and no longer than 7 days in length. It will be a full on camping trip with daily fuel ranges of around 150 miles.

If someone wants to plan a 2019 BOM1000, feel free to start a new thread and have at it. I can probably help some with the planning, but definitely cannot participate in it.

Here's the In list for the 2020 running of the VBOM1000. I'll periodically update it but it won't be everyday. We'll be starting in Elk City, ID on Saturday, July 25, 2020 and the ride will end on Friday, July 31, 2020 likely on the Lolo Motorway.
