Good time to update firmware and maps on GPS units. Garmin Express told me which Garmin units required updates. Always good to keep current.
Download Garmin Express here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/
If you are updating maps, be sure to load a copy onto your computer. If you fish around in "details" on the map update page as you are about to upload to your unit you'll find an option of upload a new map to your unit and to your computer.
If you use a Mac, this is very important. The recent update to macOS Catalina will require Garmin updates in order to use BaseCamp.
Liked your trailer so much I ordered one much like it. Same color and dimensions, insulation, windows and RV door. It'll be my bike hauler/caveman camper. Looking forward to adding the finishing touches once I pick it up.
Will add V-nose counter top and upper shelf, under counter will be gear storage space with a 2x4 retaining lip on floor and roll down cargo netting to retain contents. Helmet shelf and gear hanging hooks across from walk-in door.
Thanks for the inspiration Cannonshot!
I’ve also got a R&R trailer. They are really nice.
Layton I'd like to see your build. PM me if ok.
Thanks to Bultaco206 for his insight too.
Garmin 64st with built in topos on sale at Cabelas for $170. Good value - especially with the maps.
December 2-8 these two GPS units with built in topos will be on sale:
Montana 610t for $350 ($200 off) Montana has a good powered mount available to power it on the bike.
66st for $349 ($100 off)
Thanks, do you think the 66 is that much better than the 64? Worst part of my 62 is the mini usb that looses connection quite often
I’ve beat my Montana like a rented mule for years ... keeps coming back for more. I’m very happy with it.
The 66 has a powered mount. Don't know how well that works though.
