I recently enjoyed some riding at Brimstone with some friends. Good times. We were riding small dual sports (~400cc) and decided some riding on the area mountain roads might be fun.

This first loop runs fron Hunstville to Caryville and back and takes in a twisty mix of sporty gravel and pavement that takes in a lot of elevation changes in the area. A great ride with some basic dragon like qualities. The loop is only about 68 miles but takes in a lot of nice stuff along the way. I named the file the "Draggin'Ass".

It has some neat switchbacks on it as well.

The second ride loops between Jellico and and the Huntsville-Brimstone area. Much of the route is paved, but in the Brimstone riding area the route takes to some green and blue (intermediate) trails. Again, we rode these on smaller dual sports (~400cc) which was fun. The red section of track is from another area ride I did some years back. The blue is something developed to create a loop. The loop is about 109 miles and takes in sporty pavement and gravel, and some ATV width trail sections.

As I mentioned, part of the loop takes to the trails in Brimstone. You will need a Brimstone riding permit for this portion. Also note that some of the track follows blue (intermediate) trails. This background map is from the vvmapping GPS background map that covers riding areas in the region. It can be useful to find your way without getting inadvertently hung-up on an extreme trail.

This is the same section with a Garmin topo background map.
