Just wrapped up another small group CannonTrek. Four days circling the rugged back country of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on small/medium dual sports. Paths ranged from single track to winding and rolling shore roads.

You don't waste any time getting your ride reports done....some of the riders probably aren't even home yet!

That's some fantastic trails and location. Is there anyway I can join up if you are doing something between 24 sept-5 oct. I will be in the US between 10sept -7th oct. I need to rent an off road machine.

Overview of the path we rode. Just under 1,100 miles. Covered a range of surfaces from single track MC trails to paved, rolling, and twisting shore roads.

Meeting up the night before. Midwestspeedster, GasGasMan, GasMich.

Bike prep under the overhang to keep out of the rain.

I was riding my new 500 EXC. First long trek on it.

Greg's Honda 650. Old reliable - seen many treks.

It is handy when we can arrange inexpensive motels where you can park right outside the door.

    Getting an early start.

Before picture on Brandon's tire. My stock tire on the EXC lasted about 1,200 miles. This one will likely be gone by the end of this trip.

Brian ready to head out. He has a huge gas tank on his bike. Nice range.

    Tim and Brandon's KTMs.

With all the rain, the sand was is good shape. For some reason there were stretches of this road that were pretty slick - like a mud/sand mix.

The rain started up again. Putting on rain gear.

Some warm-up exercises in the sand.

Great riding with you again! I had a blast.

    Nice to have you along.

Not sure what the schedule is for that time period yet. There sure are some nice places to ride in the UP.

    Wet and slippery this morning.

Those conveyor belts get really slick.

Steep hill. Dug the rear wheel in.

Nice traction on some of the wet sand.

Hard to get too sporty on some of this as it got a little slick.

A lot of standing water around.

Sorry about some of the picture quality. It was raining and pretty humid so things fogged up pretty quickly. Difficult to ride in the woods or at slower speeds since glasses would fog up right away.

No one was very anxious to go back out in the rain after a warm and dry breakfast stop.

Kind of slick in the woods. There was also a lot of wet face slapping brush. All good fun.

Some ATV trail in the National Forest. It used to be narrow with only wheel ruts. Looks like someone graded it. I liked it better the old way.

The Thunderbowl is an intensive use area in the National Forest. Basically it is a big sand pit with steep sides.

Looks like someone graded the gnarly out of some of the slopes.

Gas stop in Steuben. They had a little leftover premium snowmobile gas in the tank.
