Same... I just updated. What problems are you having, @GotFog?

The date picker for your DOB in their newest "Cardo Update" app is hilariously shitty. You start with a calendar picker that defaults to today's date. If you're 50 years old, you have to click the "month back" button at least 600 times. I didn't see a way to move one year at a time. I don't know what date I gave them, but spoiler alert: that ain't my birthdate!

Trying to update on Mac. We go through the process of installation and we cannot get past the verify email process. We get the email validation as successful, but upon opening the update app It asks again to verify email....
What are we do ho ng wrong?

I’m not sure how it is on the phone, but on the computer, you only need to click where it shows the year, and then you can scroll ‘down or up’ to whichever birth year you desire.

The USB port on one of my units appears to be broken, it no longer charges. I've seen posts about replacing the battery but not for this. Any suggestions? Cardo site says to find professional to repair it to maintain waterproofing. KLR owner so I need to do this myself. Anyone done this before?

    btw, since a few days:

Firmware upgrade (version 5.10) release notes:
    • Mute Mic: We understand some PACKTALK riders don’t like loud pipes or listening to others blasting their stereo. From now on, you can mute your microphone while on Dynamic Mesh Communication mode.
    • Siri Improvement: For all iPhone users, we’ve cleaned off some bugs that interrupted Siri, to make activation smoother.

I recently had that problem and Cardo quickly replaced my unit under warranty. As soon as they got my tracking info for my returned unit they sent me a replacement. Took about a week in total. If yours is under 2 years old, that might be the most KLR route to go.

While I don't think I was particulalry rough on the USB port, from now on it's going to get seriously babied.

Lots of owners install the magnetic type connector to avoid the fragile USB issue.

How does that work maintaining waterproof-ness?

Thank you. I've dipped into this thread from time to time but haven't read every post. I'll go look.

The magnetic cables are usually charge only, so you won't be able to do updates with it. If you use silicone to seal around it, that will make updates difficult.
Also, I sometimes have trouble with the cable detaching if I turn my head.

New update tonight. If I read it correctly it only says bug fixes.

Anyone know what was fixed or if there are any other changes?

Regarding the DOB thing, I just left today’s date as displayed and the update proceeded without a problem.

See post from Mark Zeist just above. Firmware 5.10, mutes and Siris more better.

Correction: Marcel Zeist, not Mark. Sorry.

I did! I clicked all over the year trying to get it to change, but it wouldn’t on my computer. Oh, well. Maybe I was a few pixels off on clicking the right place…
