wonder how they have got it as a 5 speed?!.. coz mine is a 6 speed box... however its close ratio!!. The motor stems from the BMW450 that turned into the HUSKY TE449.. fantastic motor mine is the 511 of it (479cc)....
BUT!!!! oil changes @ 400kms... dunno how that will work for ADV purposes.:huh

nice to dream but reality kicks in eventually

it appeared somewhere else here on adv

    Fool-injected 450 - whose? Yamaha, or BMW?
17 litre tank, 130kg dry weight is good.
First time I ever saw a camera on the options list!
What's the bet that it'll be over $17,000 if/when it arrives in Down Under?
But would you really want to ride a bike where the frame is GLUED together?

It is not the Husky engine, it is the BMW (from Kymco).

Six speed is an option, no word on weather it is the close ratio of the Husky or a wide ratio (as far as I know).

Kind of, but the BMW was a 5 speed, most likley some other tweaks as well.

given mine is 6 close ratio.... i would rather it be 5 wide ratio...

as for a glued frame... maybe put some zip-tie's on for safety sake... lol

Yep, they increased the oil capacity I believe.

400K is for the TE I assume.

Yeah i can't see anything on from the pic but may have an oil reservoir behind the faring somewhere maybe!!

but any highly strung 4stroke isn't meant to be ridden at constant speed all the time.. that being said tho, the yammy WR250R has had mod's done to make it more road ridable at the expense of taking a bit of performance away.. maybe they have done a similar thing here.

I know many yammy blokes have been eager for a WR450R release but still no show.

This CCM version certainly tick's allot of boxes.

regie, 40hp isnt particularly highly strung for a 450. good luck to em. the japs need to be shown what to build.

top speed only 145? not sure what $ they're lookin at but if its going to be anywhere near a 690 in price it might struggle.

DRZ 400 in standard trim will produce 40 -43 Hp. cost $7400

Then you need to add a safari tank $650 for 28L,
suspension mods $1000, wide ratio gear box $1800, seat concepts seat $200 approx. so you get a 400cc tourer for about $12,000

If there was an alternative that was as dirt ready as my DRZ I would consider it. I wait in vain for a WR450R from Yamaha

Can anyone get their video to play past 35 seconds? It just freezes and restarts; tried dragging past 0.35s and it still just resets.
