It was 35f this morning on my ride to work. I might wimp out and wear my street gear tomorrow.

Fun ride today. Nobody fell, no bikes broke, and no speeding tickets. I got off in the ditch once because I was looking at the scenery too much. We missed Dragon.
The deer were moving around a bit.

    Who's planning the next ride?

I always get better mileage when I ride with others. 52.7mpg today.

That's cuz I ride slow. It sure was cold this morning. You know when there's frost on the ground, it's cold. I had fun and enjoyed meeting you and Xon. The old town of Forester was really something to see. I'm sorry that I didn't take any pics, though. That road through the Winona area was pretty cool, too. I think I had about eight hours in the saddle today.

Did you ride the TART route above the lake?

Nope. Iron Springs CG just north of Jessieville to FR11 west, to Hwy 27 north to FR17 west, to FR33 northwest to the ghost town of Forester, near hwy 28. Lunch in Parks, Ar, then back east via 28, FR870, cr2, 27, 314, and 7. I then came home through the Winona area, then hwy 9 and 10

    Guys,

Does anyone know of dirt roads around Conway? We have two kind of mis-matched bikes, an F800GS and DRZ-125 (not street legal) and we want to go ride some dirt (not trails). Because the DRZ isn't street legal, we would like something close so we don't have to trailer forever...did plenty of that going to the track last Monday (in Oklahoma).

    Thanks! :D

It was 28F, when I left the house this morning at 6:30am. I was planning to camp Friday night w/ my boy but work and the low temps changed my plans. So, I wrapped my work last night and today I took the family to see the elk at Boxley, on a hike to Hawksbill Crag and then we picked up lunch at Oark(met Doc and Charlie) and picnicked at the swinging bridge. It sure was a beautiful day in AR... :clap

NLP you know there is two of those swinging bridges in the forest right. :evil
Sounds like you all have a great time.
I spent the day at the house watching two of my sons.
The oldest and the Mrs was at Church all day getting ready for a play the youth is putting on tomorrow.
They're hoping to have a good crowd.
Anyone wants to show up is welcome.
Trinity Faith Tabernacle on US 65 1/2 mile north of the Autozone on the East side of the road.

Maybe I can scurry away next weekend for a ride. I really wanted to go riding with Navaho today. :cry

Bell Slough, in Mayflower, Lollie Bottoms, which you can get to from Donnell Ridge Road.
or... Cross the Toad Suck Bridge, and take a right on Stoney point road, and there are some side roads that are not paved. Those are not very big areas to ride though....Best local place is over by lake Sylvia... South of Thornburg.

It seems like I've heard of it but, just can't recall the specifics. :ear

Church plays are always a lot of work but usually lead to long lasting memories. I hope y'all have a large crowd, also.

No tarts or freaky bitches today.

I was looking for 45 on the way back from hwy 27 to 7. Never saw a road labeled 45. A few locked gates though.

I'd like to have a mostly gravel route running N/S. I could use it to get to Rush or Brock Creek. I like low gap out of Scotland, but then I get lost on the other side of 16. I started up Pumpkin Seed Rd last year and wound up completely turned around.

I took my 6 year old trick or treating tonight. We only went to about 10 houses in a friend's neighborhood. The teenage girls were mostly dressed like hookers. I can't believe a parent would let their 14-15 year old girl go dressed like Tom Cruise's character in Risky Business. A man's shirt, panties, and white socks were all she had on.

Unbelievable. My boy went out as a Star Wars clone trooper. My daughter didn't even care to go out (she's old).
