    Bikes are (or were) prohibited in Uzbekistan. But there were no problem for foreigners to cross border.

    I got the message that the Turkmenistan visa is ready. After Visa for Aserbeidjan, Uzbekistan, Tshadjikistan, Kirgistan and Kazachstan. Russia is left, but that should work out in 4 weeks.
    Our plan was to go from Germany to lake Baikal. It still is, but the route was different after looking at this pix.
    Even if Baikal woldn't work out, this journey will have enough highlights!

    could a novice offroader do it on a klr, or would you recommend a lighter bike??
