Hey mate, not looking cold and wet over there like it has been here the last few days.

Went riding two weeks ago but only managed one pic

I would love some rain right about now, and look at all that blue and green! Can't wait to get back and ride.

Hi guys, we are doing the Bridle track between Bathurst and Hill End on 1,2 and 3rd of November.. Depart from Newcastle/Central Coast and taking the scenic route, staying in pubs so no camping gear required.. They will be tar and dirt so maybe more suited to the bigger adventure bikes.. If you are interested then feel free to message me.. Cheers..

Have fun. Did it a few weeks ago, and its the roughest its been for 30 years, according to the locals at the pub.

I've been out of town for a bit, hopping on a plane in a few hours though and plan to get back on two wheels by next weekend at the latest.

Before I left, I had just put about 1000km on the Motoz RallZ tires and was really loving those. Good balance of traction and durability. Never tried the desert tires but a lot of people like them. Only way to find out is to give it shot!

I realize it will be busy with the holidays coming up but I'll be free to ride pretty much any day if you give me enough notice for at least the next 2 months.

The Tractionator Deserts are OK, but not the best when the roads are wet. The Motoz RallZ's would be my pick for a mid to large adventure, otherwise the Golden Tyre 723 is OK for a light weight adventure bike. And the GT333 is an awesome Enduro tyre.

I leave for a few months and you blokes set this whole place on fire! I mean, we all like a change of scenery now and again but this is a little extreme!

Anyone been riding lately? I have to admit I'm a little hesitant to get out there with the apocalyptic skies I've been seeing the last couple days.

I got caught in a forest fire a few years back while riding in Arizona and I'm not too keen to make the same mistake

I wouldn't even consider a ride at the moment. Unfortunately when all these fires die down there will be huge damage to trails, bridges, embankments and the like. Not to mention the poor souls who have lost everything.
Here's hoping Yengo Creek Road and Wollombi can be spared in the coming hours.

Yep she's pretty dire at the moment, I'd not recommend going anywhere near the bush mate. I haven't been out for weeks either

    Welcome BDV,

There are some great people in and around the coast and Newcastle/Hunter.

I'm sure once the fires die down there will be some rides happening.

Ive booked a ride with Ride Adv in February just a weekend out to singleton and back starting and returning at the galaxy motel Gosford , its a bit pricey but you get rider support and it means ill actually make a ride fingers crossed theres something left to ride by then.
