Doug, you ridding the klx or the tiger? drumrpete, may bring a crf250, just curious!!
2019FULL.ADV.route.gpx we will loosely follow this.....
Can I get a rain check? I’ve got issues. Some of them mechanical.
Probably the Tiger. The KLX has a fork seal leaking a little after my ride Saturday. But, I could bring either one.
I’m new to this forum. I’m in Jacksonville and want to do more group rides.
welcome! welcome to join us saturday!. That you, Bob?
I changed the oil in the CRFs today, haven’t decided which to bring. The 250 is still waiting on an exhaust pipe cover, it’s burning holes in my pants when standing. The Africa Twin is a joy to ride to-the-ride, and I’ll have help picking it up if/when I go down, so I’m leaning that way. But I sure will miss the ease of the 250 on the sketchy bits.
I don’t think there’s anything too technical on this route. No standing required. But, I’m starting to think I might be on my KLX. I’ll get plenty of Triumph time in a few weeks.
Where you going in a few weeks?
Colorado bdr. 2vstroms....2tigers
Aside from replacing the front brake pads, my Triumph is ready for the COBDR. Valves adjusted, serviced, and new tires. I’ve put about 200 miles on it since the work.
I did 150 miles of mostly gravel and two track, on The Twin today, in prep for Saturday.
It was AWESOME after riding those same roads on the 250.
I stood most of the time on the gravel, and it was much more comfortable.
I'm taking the Twin.
Accuweather is predicting rain between midnight and 7am on Saturday.
Hopefully we'll get just enough to keep the dust down.
it is getting dusty! fingers crossed!
Well dust wasn’t an issue today turned out to be about perfect !!! Til I headed home man did I get soaked
Avoided the heat....and I stayed dry!!!
Good food,, The Pavilion... Kampsville
That’s gotta be you Bill! Your bike looks more gorgeous in person. As proven by the Harley rider in Kampsville.
Jim, That was a super fun ride, sorry my crash/resultant throttle wire issue cut it short. Thanks to you all, for keeping up the levity, and Doug, for the meticulous finger work to get me going again. I have begun new work on the throttle this morning, report to follow when finished. Happy Father’s Day to us!
Yeah Jim. I want to go Saturday. My son will be in town this weekend. I am thinking about going and heading out early.
I hope it helped knock some of the dirt off your bike.
