I have a wedding reception to attend in the evening, but I could try to make it.
I’m hoping to make it as well. It is two whole weeks away after all
Solo650: Just back from MO ride, so need to check things before I can commit.
I stopped at Hall's on the way home, thinking about something smaller than 500exc, 350 or Ti300. My 990 and 500 are for sale and may keep the TE300 a while or may trade.
John: last ride of solo650's (which did not happen for me) I rode to Pittsfield and motel-ed Friday night. Or I could trailer down early Saturday.
Is well worth it!
I need suggestions on a good place to take my granddaughters camping for their first time, next weekend. They are 12, 10 and 7. We'll be in a tent. We want to be able to build a fire. Somewhere rustic with some hiking trails maybe. I'm in the Champaign Urbana area.
Well, its a 4 hour drive for you, but Pounds Hollow is NICE!
Has a nice lil lake to fish,,, a short trail leads north out of camp..
And the Girls will enjoy Garden Of The Gods, just a few miles from camp!
This time of year, your likely to have the place to yourself!! No Crowds!
Jubilee College State Park with fishing ponds, streams, hiking, biking/peddling, and horse trails is next door to me. Primitive tent basic tent camping or (best) RV like sites with electric hook ups, trees, restrooms/showers (if still on) near.
Take I 74 west 100 miles to Kickapoo exit, turn right go 2 miles to stop sign in Kickapoo, turn left and drive approx. 3 miles, turn right at park main entrance and go about one mile, take first left to registration. Drive past the camp host's trailer to check out the camp sites.
Jubilee College is oldest in Illinois, I think.
Kickapoo State Park Danville
Moraine View park between you and Bloomington
Moraine just north of Leroy. If the childs flake, or the weather changes, not far to get home.
Today was a wonderful day. Finished up our home projects. Hope that the weather is so like this for next weekend to do the Great River
Ride to meet up with Solo 650 in Kampsville.
It was a great day for a ride! Went over to Eureka's Chanticleer for a late lunch only to find they didn't open until 4:30
so we rode over to Busy Corner in Goodfield.
Hoping to ride over to the Legion in Delavan for breakfast with some of the guys from the BMW group.
Good breakfast! You're welcome to join us. We usually get there around 7:30-8:00 a.m. and sit in the back.
It's a bit of a drive, but Patoka Lake and/or Hoosier National Forest (in Indiana, duh) has a lot of good hiking and camping. If you do happen to head this way I would suggest loading up any parts and pieces relating to an FE570 that you might have laying around and bringing them with you.
I think Moraine is it. Pretty close by, will be fine for a first outing.
I'll trade a pile of parts for a pile of 20 dollar bills. It has a tag and title. I'm a motivated seller as they say.
I got my new one dirty today.
Dang, that’s pretty!
Blue and white is a better and faster color! How many cubic inches? I do not remember any mention of said NEW addition!
Ran out of road.
What time at the Pittsfield Lake ball field?
