Well ,I didn't even know the TT was this weekend. Suppose the racing AFT thread here I should be watching. Is the Mile going to be a "double header" this Labor Day?

Good chance I will be there, but it is 18 miles from me; so you never know!

I hope; we can join you for lunch, yet this year! Yes, I mean fish of most likely the catfish variety.

    Ride on my friend!

Edit TT addition: I did go; but did not see a race. I left too early, 6:00 ish! AFT had their mid-day 2 Hr lunch, then there was the refreshing showers; which were followed by the CAT emo's with skid steer, motor grader and scraper with a touch of vintage International tractor scarifying.

I got lost this weekend... ended up at some pirate party for a homemade sailboat that hasn't quite made it into the water yet. I worked on the boat a couple times, and engineered the Dolly and hitch setup that turned it into a trailer to get to the Port of Catoosa.

Didn't have time to stop and take as many pictures as most of you guys seem to!

19-160 on the way down to Tulsa, and Eureka Springs to 14, 341 (Push Mountain) to 19-A-KK-32-DD-P-21 to get home.

Just a heads up. Farmers (current or retired), or anyone else that enjoys old farming equipment, the Half Century of Progress Show is here in Rantoul 8/26-29.
The premier working vintage farm show in the U.S. Live demonstrations, attractions, and fellowship.

Hi, I'm going to be passing through Illinois in about two weeks. I'm headed to Denver, so I'll be going west right through the middle of the state.

I was wondering if there are any highlights I should try to hit or gravel/dirt roads along the route. Thanks for any advice!

I'd go around, you'd probably get stopped for the "Pritzger crossing my state tax" :D

    Not really.
There’s not much to see in the central part but it gets better as you get towards the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. Maybe solo650 has some advice?

    maybe @Critic ?

but, there isn't much in the way of longer dirt/gravel across central IL. A patchwork. Some good stuff in southern IL and supposedly some good stuff up in the NW corner of the state.

I have been in contact with Aiden; he is riding his HD Sportster Adv conversion from NY to L A. My thought was that Sieg and Old179 may have possible interesting fun tracks/roads across southern OH, IN, IL, MO!

Because I am not a southern boy! Well kind of, Ma and pa were...

Thanks for the memories, Solo. Is that brick building next to where the Chevy dealership was in 'dosh? You may be too young to remember that. We went to school in Quincy (73-74) and 104 was the route on the way home to Spfld. There was a long closed Dairy Bar we used to stop at on the way to try to pick up young river girls also. Glad they did not move the new bridge south of town. FLJ and I have ridden the Arenzville blacktop before. Where is an eating joint there?
