Hell, those sound like perfect temps for this. At least I won't have to buy a lighter weight sleeping bag, just leave the 0 degree bag unzipped a bit. As for jackets and whatnot, I love the stuff I get issued. Sleeping bag and tent are civilian though, Air Guard doesn't go camping, :lol3.

Dudes, that is the most righteous freaking awesome DS rally poster I have seen....I bet the tee shirt will be one for the ages!

Looks like a fantastic dual sport meet up!

How are the paved routes up there?

I am trying to talk my brother-in-law, and his brothers to ride up to this, instead of some lame trip to San Francisco :ymca They all ride big loud H-D's. You can make fun of them, but they will probably shoot you and ask questions later...

    Anyway, how's the pavement? :ear

The pavement is in excellent shape. Some sand/gravel in corners of smaller roads.

There were lots of Harleys out and about the 2nd weekend of CADVR because of some big HD rally nearby.

IMO my time is better served on a 1/2 day trip up north to ride a huge variety outstanding roads and paths rather than slab for days out to CA. At least at this point in my riding life. It's gorgeous up there.

Thanks...you don't need to convince me! I have no interest in riding West of the Rockies, except for Moab.
I'm going to try and make it this year :deal Scheduling with my wife will be the only hold up. The MXCAN HD boys, might take some convincing. We'll see.

You'll really enjoy the central rally. Miles and miles of twisting roads through the deep and dark forest.

You could drive southeast from the rally instead, if you want plains and open fields.

With all of you FFs going I'm not sure I should go. Let me check my sailing calendar before I commit myself to the asylum.
