Feeling almost 100% I've been working on the new place. Tongue and grove on the walls, birch cabinets, and butcher block counters. Need to get wood shop set up to mill my trim. house 2-24.jpg

It's a slow day, so I took the extra box I have, filled it with sailboat fuel and weighed it. --6 lbs.--
The bike does wheelie often enough, but I think it has more to do with the short wheelbase and tall bike.

I've had a 35 gal RubberMaid Action Packer on half a dozen or more bikes. I started using it when I had to wear a coat and tie to work. I could ride in to the basement parking garage, take my jacket and shoes out of the box, put my helmet, boots and one-piece Aerostich in the box and walk upstairs to work looking like everyone else.

Beautiful day to be out riding, seen lots of others that feel the same. Glad Mr. Sanjoh wanted to go.

Honor system often found in rural Highlands and Polk counties.
Highly recommend the lunch special at Olympic in Avon Park then down to Lake Placid for a cold one. I just finished 6 dry weeks. :D

Replacement tag for the fresh eggs: Bobo's Grocery

Where McKibbens Lake Wales takes their test rides, not that they have any motorcycles there. But you can buy as many SxS and ATVs as you want.
There are many curves in the area and sprawl hasn't got here yet.

Nice day for a ride. I got here just before the today's rocket launch. I got to listen to it (on the 'net,) but the clouds prevented any sighting.

About 10 years ago, JD moved a tag across the street. I was there for a Patriot Guard funeral escort and thought it might be a nice place for a new tag. So I took a couple of pictures. One of the pictures I took is a duplicate of JD's Kathleen Historical Park picture, but the other is taken at 90° left of his.

The historic park across the street has a few exhibits, but as these parks go, there are others that are much better.

What’s, uhh, what...what’s doing with that topbox?

Technically, that thing is telling me you should be invited to everyone’s birthday party. Nicely done.

I think I've explained this a couple of times, but here it is again.
Way back before the turn of the millennium, I worked on K St in DC. There was a parking garage, so I didn't have a problem with the bike, but I got weird looks when I walked upstairs in my riding gear. The 35 gallon Rubbermaid Action Packer allowed me to remove my Aerostich and helmet and put on my suit jacket and walk up looking like everyone else. The oldest picture I can find of one of my previous bikes with this top box is on
My IronButt bike I know I had that box on two bikes older than the link. KLRista use milk crates, I use an ActionPacker.

I can build one for you if you'd like.

You're going to love the way it handles when you finally get around to removing it!

It can be removed and replaced in about 10 minutes. I will use the setup below tomorrow at a Patriot Guard event.
The empty box weighs about 12 lbs. Roughly the same as 2 gallons of gas. Now I will admit that I can feel a difference in handling between an empty tank and a full one, but usually only when I pull away from the pumps. Perhaps you could explain a couple of things for me. 1) How does a 12 lb empty box that is out of the wind stream seriously affect handling. 2) When you run to the store for a case of beer, a loaf of bread, a dozen eggs and a gallon of milk, where do you put your helmet and jacket and then how do you carry the groceries home?

Are you sure you don't want me to build one for you? It would look good here. It would fill out the rest of the platform and also hide whatever you wanted to put inside. A definite improvement for getting groceries.
