Cool, thanks. I called bass lake district this morning and they said there wasn't any so hopefully its not too bad. Taking a guy that's been riding a while but new to trails. Didn't want to make the trip all the way out to the desert.

Also, wondering if it would be worth it to bring my chainsaw? Anyone been up recently that can comment on the fallen tree situation? I cut a lot of trees out of those trails earlier this year.

Someone posted to the FB Central valley thread that there were new trees down as of late December.....always a good idea to take the chainsaw just in case

Just so you guys know. They acutally have dates for closures on Miami trails in the OHV not the roads. Meaning it is illegal (in the travel management laws) to ride during those closures. That being said, many do ride it without repercussions. That could change tany day you come out of a trail and there is a FS LEO or Sheriff that is having a bad day or living to the letter of the law. The new or decade old forest management and travel ban also says that you cannot travel more than a vehicles length off the recognized trails and roads meaning no cross country travel. Hopefully one day we can fight for openings and closures as the weather and conditons dictate which kind of makes more sense than closing in in Dec or Jan then not opening until May in some places. But many trails are clear and many are blocked so please do take your saw so I can get through them.

I didn’t end up making it yesterday. Forest service website said the OHV was open also. Maybe next weekend.

Do any of you know if Black Rock Road is open from the back of Pine Flat Lake to Wishon? I always like riding that road in May or June when the snow melt creates some nice water falls in the canyon.
