Well, the writing is on the wall and its time for me to move my cheese before it is moved for me (to another state).

If anyone knows of a good Headhunter or company looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager, please shoot me an email or PM!

I have a wide degree of skills ranging from International Commodities to Multi-year, Multi-National, Multi-Million dollar Outsource/Offshore engagements. What I need now is a new place to practice.

Yeah, I know it’s an esoteric skill set, but I am good at it so I stick to what I know.

Thanks Solo! I put in an application for one listing that looked attractive. We shall see where it goes. Lots of stuff outside the US. Very fun!

Dont worry, i aint going anywhere im not motivated to go. As of right now, they aint paying me enough to move to where they are suggesting so i will either be doing a LOT of riding next year, or working a new job where I want to live.

Current employer has not clearly identified where the HQ will go. But they have indicated it will be one of two flat states with straight roads and dress codes consisting of big hats and pointy boots. :huh

Good idea. but i wont bore every one with my entire resume.

Let’s just say that i am working on some projects that involve...
--->Contract Negotiation & Management of multi-national sourcing of BPO services.
--->Negotiate & Manage IT/IS Service engagements (Consulting Design & Build, Implement, etc)
--->Negotiate & Execute Import Commodity Transactions (partially finished goods ie Lumber, Copper, Steel, injected plastics & resin products, etc)

There is a degree of Project Management involved with everything as well, but that’s common.

Thanks for the suggestion Mr Bard. Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I will let y'all know if i find something. Shoot me a PM if anyone has any more good suggestions.

    This just sucks.

Why is it that companies can't just let it work?

Why must they attempt to fix the unbroken?

My life in the cube is pretty boring for the most part. And working where I do is a life without choices. I go where they send me. So far I have dodged some of the uglier bullets. I mean who wants to live in, Ismellass anyway?
