tried to buy it yesterday after i contacted him seconds after it posted. unbeknownst to me, my credit union has had accounts hacked lately and i couldn't get the $1k out of the ATM. new limit, $300.00. called the guy and told him my dilemma. he said-no worries, come get it tomorrow. so did the deal this morning.

interesting seller, straight up about the bike. original owner, 32000 miles. used it as a tug for a small side car to tour on (solo). sounds good, shifts good, fuck it for a grand i was in.
pic in listing. ditched the windshield and highway bars ten seconds after i got it off the trailer. need to '86 the chinese retro turn signals too.

Found three ads on Craig's List. Two for $4500, one for $4900.
I've been wanting one, but not for that price.

$6000.00 or so in British Columbia. 2 for sale in the Vancouver area. $1000.00 is a unbelievable deal.

Just saw one for $3k near SLO... 34 days ago. I bet it's long gone now.

been all sorts of cheap good bikes posted in st louis recently. i missed a one owner bug eyed speed triple with 10,000 miles that was listed for.........$750.00! he quit riding a couple of years ago. been sitting in his garage since.

went back over today and picked up a small cache of parts that the seller didn't include in the sale. after a little asking, inquiring, dick stroking (no oral) i ended up with this stash plus a rear wheel. again ridiculously cheap. took the corbin off and installed the winged wonder.

You know what? You’re REALLY not helping our relationship.

Cleaned up my cheap Yamaha FZR600, spray painted the plastics for now, removed the broken front fairing/light, recovered the seat. Still need to figure out a cheap speedometer. All in I'm at $322.56.

Bought this for $400. Reassembled, rewired, updated maintenance and painted all for under $900. I've only put a few hundred miles on it so far, but it seems to be a good reliable ride.

Have you looked into a bicycle speedo?

I haven't. They use magnets on the wheel right? Have one you would recommend?

Me, no, but I've seen plenty of other guys use them in cases like yours.

Bikes like these were too quickly eclipsed by the FZ, GSXR, VF, GPz, etc. trends..
