I have rode a BW and a early model TW! They would be great for some terrible roads very near the house. Places I have laid the DR down!

The TT is my street bike. It is needed for the roughly paved roads in my area where the V7 would beat me up a bit. The two main roads I use to head East are quite rough. The DR and TT do great on them. In fact, I hit both today on the DR. I would not hesitate to take the TT down an easy gravel road. However, the roads I traveled today were a handful at times even on a DR with knobs. No way I would have made it under the tree on the TT. This combo of bikes works great for me.

A later edition TW would be good for terrible roads at low speeds. Something a bit recent into the front disk brake generation. As Im sure you know, there is aftermarket goodies for them. You could make it a real rough road / trail / mud /water explorer. Kinda for where the DR isnt a fun choice because of its weight and ability in the rough..........for me, the ability to easily paddle around with your feet, in 1st gear is what makes the TW so good when things get shitty ! Lots less drops, and it wont pin you underwater if all goes wrong. :lol3

I thought I heard somewhere the XT 250 top end can be adapted to a TW ? Dont know for sure. I really, REALLY wished they had made a TW 500. Imagine how good that could be when geared right.

A cool start to a cool day. Took the TT 150 miles across some small roads to Bomont and then back thru Looneyville.

This pic is from the edge of the woods at my last rest stop yesterday. The next pic is one more step in looking 180 degrees from the first shot and you can't be seen from the road. If you run off the road into one of these areas, they ain't finding you till fall... I carry a GPS locator, but unless you could crawl to an open spot. It's not going to do you much good.

You would be hard pressed to find anyone who likes your greenery any more than I do. Your camera is doing very well! We appreciate it.

Your "last rest stop" sounds, and its pix look, like a euphemism for a "bladder-maintenance facility." :D

Summer operation. Removed hand guards and installed a small Biondi screen. Ready for max airflow...so it will probably snow this weekend. :D

Man what a ride today Rt 47, 16 & 18 along with a host of smaller roads. I was at the limit of where I will travel to for a day trip. I didn't have great luck but it sure was purty.

First, I couldn't find the WV tag I was looking for. Then I almost became a hood ornament on a women's car. Two lanes were not enough she needed another half of mine. Then I come up to a buzzard lifting off from its lunch across my line of travel. I was going 60mph. No problem it's going to clear. Then in the shadows a second one just gets airborne head high and I clip it with the left side of my helmet and it turned my left mirror around. I only had time to tuck into the tank bag. Not an easy thing considering the extra luggage I carry amidships! I didn't even waver after the impact and just plowed thru, so all was good. :clap

Two days and two rides of 240 miles. Today, the farm country of SE Ohio. The smell of freshly cut hay was ever prevalent during both days. Sooo many curvy roller coaster roads between I77 and Woodsfield OH. Great fun and pretty. Then went due South to WV RT16 from St Marys to Harrisville, Rt31 to Cisco then home.

I did do about 6 miles of gravel. The TT did fine, but I'm not that enthused with the tires on gravel. This particular steep down hill was rather exciting...

Great pics, again! You're making me want my good camera back from the hospital soon. Supply chains being what they are, it could be a while.
