One last detour down to the Spruce overhang. This was gated last year, but it isn't any longer. One of the hardest SxS/4wd roads is in this area. Mud holes as tall as the DR with rider. I have crossed it and fallen a couple of times. The trip to Spruce is easier with just rocky creeks and smaller 2' deep mud holes which have rock bottoms, so no biggy. This pic is an extremely steep down hill with whoops, but it kinda looks like an uphill. And yes this is the road... This is the overhang and yes this is still the road. A nice ride, especially when you don't fall down on some hard technical stuff...at least for my old bones. The front MT21 did OK. Where the MT21 fails for me is gravel sized 1" in diameter or larger and when it's deeper that 2". Triangular gravel is fine, but if it is squarish/roundish it is scary as hell and all you can do is slow down. I still like the Scorpion Rally better. I'm waiting to see if the MFG will send me a new one. If they don't replace it I will probably get a front D606, I remember liking it better than the MT21, but not as good as the Scorpion. I just don't want to risk getting another bad tire on my dime. Rocky Mountain said that have had a few claims for the Scorpion.
