Great roads there.
One of our daughters owns a place that appears in your penultimate pic.
Great roads between our home and their place. S-i-L and his eldest daughter (14) are hunting there soon.
It was a great trip, definitely will be returning to the aera to explore more.
Buckle up buttercups or turn away, I took way too many pics this day... I chose to ride The Snake and it was a great choice. Full kaleidoscope views all morning. Over cast and sunny skies with no rain until after I made it home. Leaf peeping is peaking and this may be my best fall color pics this year since it's due to rain Thursday and Friday my only days off this week.
I think is the best pic I have taken of the old factory that resides along this ride. There were two calves out in the road and I had to pull up closer than normal.
The view to the left.
This was a very pretty spot to pull off so I took a few pics of the bike here.
I tried my hand at snapping a few while riding. They turned out OK. This was a slow road where I didn't exceed 25mph while shooting.
This should do it...
Such a beautiful time of year, you got some great pics!
As did you!
Just finished reading thru this thread, what great roads and pictures. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us, this thread will definitely be on my watch list. I think you and @JRowland are tied for best pictures, I check the DR picture thread for his pictures.
Thank you, this part of the country makes it easy. I've been slacking in the DR picture thread, my aplologies. I'll fix that.
I got out for a couple hundred miles on the eastern side of the state yesterday, unfortunately Relive only caught the 1st half
Going to do the Birch River/Webster springs loop in reverse Thursday if the rain holds off. Probably be the last ride of The Serpent this year.
Thanks! I really like taking pics so I appreciate that others get some enjoyment out of them too.
Hard to beat Maggie Valley and the hills of Southern/eastern WV for magnificent vista's. In my area, the hills are smaller and the foilage thick. More than one person has told me it's Spooky. In places, one step into the woods and you disappear. What we do have tho are fun roads!
I sing that song often while rolling down the road. Dogs howling in my wake.
Would like to come up there & ride sometime, maybe next spring. Have only ridden in WV 1 time and it was cold & raining. By the time we found a place to spend the night I think I was on the verge of hypothermia. When I got home I got me some heated gear.
I’m hoping to do the same, let me know if and when and maybe we can ride up together for a Weekend at Chet’s or something like that. I can’t wait to see what he’s showing us!
Sounds like a plan.
