You got some great pics! That one above with crumbly rock on the right and stone face across the road on the left is so me, I love the rocks, and the cricks, and the towns :-)

Thanks, all the roads I have traveled on the V7 this year, I have not seen in winter. I passed a bunch of nice longer view rock formations that I will get pics of soon. What sucks is many of the notches cut thru rocks for roads like those above are too dangerous to stop and get a pic of. If there isn't a safe spot to pull off, I just rumble on thru! :ricky I found some nice spots earlier in the year to look down onto towns and I plan to hit them when the weather permits. :vardy There has been too much foliage to get a shot, so far this year. :dirtdog

Another 200 miles in 4.5 hours. Routes 33, 36 and 4. Then I went through Rosdale, up Russet road to Grantsville and back RT5. A very nice low traffic day riding in the zone with few stops and higher speeds.

This one didn't turn out too good. a lichen covered rock wall that probably never sees sunlight. The pic doesn't do it justice.

I have ridden most of U.S in my 50 years=all memories and some pics , so I am VERY appreciative of
    your taking time to share.
In 2018 I rode south with longtime local ride buddies and I convinced them to skip the "usual Skyline and Parkway"
and follow me into WV and south.
I could barely keep up all day because they were so excited and enjoyed the new experience, always curvy roads with
    less traffic.
Thank you, and thank you again, for sharing your pictures!

2 hour 50 mile jaunt on some roads 10 minutes from the house that I have not been on and some others that I have. The DR is such a fine tool. The V7 make a great sub-65 mph street bike. The DR fits in that same category but for rougher roads. I really like them both. I have a few panoramic shots, but I'm still learning how to use it. The sun was not in the right position on most.

I enjoy yours too @B10Dave! It's just nice to get out and ride.

I had a couple young'uns come up behind me on 4 wheelers on my favorite stretch of dirt/gravel. I do believe they thought to pass...they were wrong lol. I was lucky the gravel was perfect for me and not too deep or they would have smoked me easily. The rest of the day was slow rubber necking.

Great pictures. Really enjoy seeing them. I did a ride yesterday into West Va. I was in the eastern part near Cass. Beautiful day yesterday. I love this weather we are having this fall.

80 miles in 3.5 hours. A beautiful day! I was criss crossing between Jackson, Wirt and Roane counties today. I started on Windy Ridge then went to Buffalo Church on roads I have never traveled. I found quite a few to explore a bit more, so I think I will take the DR out again Friday instead of the V7.

I'm really enjoying the pictures. Lots of roads I need to get out and explore in that area.

Pics aren't too good today due to getting a late start. I didn't want to be out near dark at 0:deer:30. I worked until almost noon. 150 miles in 3.5 hours. 48F when I started and 61F when I rumbled into the garage.

This was a pic challenge from another thread. I have stopped at this spot multiple times, but there were always banners or cars in the way making any pic you take a bit crappy.

3 hours and 85 miles. Explored roads around Buffalo Church. There are still quite a few to go. :D Very peaceful out on the ridge tops. The wind had a slight howl through the trees and rocks. No other sound when I stopped to take a break.

A fun hill at the first rest stop.

A quick 90 miles in 2.4 hours. I have not done the entire length of Rt14 between Elizabeth and Spencer this year. Then I went to Gandeeville, Harmony and home.
A cool 50F which reached a blistering 54F by the time I made it home.

I added a cheap set of hand guards for winter operation and while very bouncy they did work well at keeping my hands warmer. I wore my standard deer skin Lee Parks gloves and my hands didn't get cold. I'm going to replace the supplied flat bar on the mirrors with some aluminum angle and see if they stiffen up a bit.

I have Ktech RazerIII shocks on the the rear which have a +/- 5mm height adjustment. I raised them the full +5mm earlier in the week. Some V7 owners have lowered their fork tubes in the triple trees and reported handling improvements. Well I can't say it's better, but it sure didn't hurt any. I liked the way it handled before and it still handles great! :D

This may be the last one this year. The next two weeks look too cold, but maybe there will be a short Christmas thaw. :D Rolled out at 42F and rolled home with 57F. A nice 3 hour ride of 130 miles with not many stops. MY beefed up hand guard supports stopped 95% of the shaking, so now I'm going to shorten them up a bit and call it good. Only the tips of my finger got cold today and that was only while the temperatures were below 50F. Hopefully, moving the guards in will help.

I took Rt47 to Smithville then Rt16 to Arnoldsburg to Rt33 then home. Rt16 was fantastic with no traffic except for a short 2 mile stretch. Perfect day and road to hone your skill.
