Properly placing the bike in the 'frame' is the primary creative challenge in photography. With no bike, there's no reason to take a picture . . . :D

Ha ha. A side of deceit to go with the looks!

It wasn't that bad. It wasn't really tough and it definitely wasn't juicy the way good brisket should be.

When you've sampled some really good stuff, brisket is usually seasoned enough to not need sauce and parts at the sight of teeth.

This didn't fit the bill. I will go back just to make sure I don't have to order a third time.

    :rofl

I'm a brisket fan and every time through Texas I'll find some. Around here it's pulled pork.

    Awesome.

    Found a good deal?

I may have a suspension upgrade you can have for a good deal. I'm looking at getting the Ohlins stuff for mine.

Not a ton of awesome deals out there right now, but I feel ok about it.

Maybe we can go for a putt

The sake of science. I want to see if the Ohlins suspension is better.

    So do we.

I'm working on getting a few people on bikes, and I'd really like an excuse to get a Monkey in the garage - with a sweet suspension, of course.

Has there been any indication that Honda may offer a Super Monkey package geared toward ADV or SM (more of a Grom thing, but a supermoto Monkey might be neat, too)? If they keep selling in high numbers, some cool trim packages like that might keep the buzz going.

The new Grom with 5 speed has an ADV bodywork package.

At least it is a start.

I'm sure aftermarket companies will have a gearset to widen ratios on the new 5 speed otherwise there won't be a reason to buy gear parts.

What I'd love to see available for the bike is a dual sprocket setup. I haven't checked for room but with that tiny 420 chain, there just may be. Highway and crawl gearing without a huge hassle.

This coming week will be go time for the 'Pimp my Monkey' project.

I think the torque adapter arrives Tuesday. Big bore and assorted goodies Wednesday.

Not sure on exhaust and intake. Both shipped but from different outfits in Japan.

Both very important to the build.

At the very least I can pull the clutch cover Wednesday and pull the clutch and oil pump as well as the spinner.

Oil pump arrives that day as well.

So funny, but how freakin' true.

Brian is making this bike look very very inviting and capable of so much more than we all may be thinking.

look-all the best with the new primate!

I can see a low range being a perfect fit for a bike that's so easy to paddle along on when the terrain gets really rough.
Speaking of tough terrain, have you swapped to new tires yet?

Not yet. Have a lot of life left in the stock tires still. Need to check mileage of the bike but I'm guessing I'm around 2,000 miles.

I've been thinking of designs for a low range setup. Too bad I'm not a machinist!
