re: the Renazco for the 701 - there's always a long wait for one of James' seats :nod
I was very happy with the Seat Concepts tall on my 701

I am a better Rider with the new jacket.
I don't remember Sam doing it either on his scooter. I only stopped because Sam looked uncomfortable........:rofl:rofl

I've ordered pretty much everything I'm doing to the bike short of handguards/mirrors. Need to call Highway Dirtbike about that.

    Seat Concepts seat
    Wings muffler/carbon heat shield
    AXP skid plate
    The KTM 450 EXC shifter

Actually, I need wider pegs still because the little ones included with the bike have my knees putting too much pressure against the bike while standing and said knees were not happy ripping down those rocky two tracks.

Edit: I may add a road set of wheels later. The 19/17 setup like on my CRF450L but with an 80/20 tire. We'll see. This is more dirt explorer than long range bomber or canyon scratcher.

Good possibility I'll have plenty of time. Mona is out of school in a week and a half so I won't be teaching scholastics post two Wednesdays from now.

I will post some dates soon.
I have 2 weeks off in June: June 06/21--07/05 (this will be reserved for Moab/St.G, Vegas and the Southwest).
I also have 2 weeks off in July: 07/18--08/02 and this will be reserved for Moab/Wyoming Area.
Hopefully, things will have opened up more including the National Parks.

Congrats but I have to be honest. I'll miss the Super Cub. Since acquiring the Grom I've become a small bike nut.

I'm sure I'll get another. A small bike in our blistering hot summer weather will just sit in my garage. That drives me nuts having stuff sit unused.

Of course I'm itching to ride the Husky but gale force winds are keeping me indoors.

Wouldn't have stopped me in the younger days.

Out for a quick break in mileage cruise. Been going over the bike and adjusted suspension to the 'comfort' settings and immediately I now love this thing. So plush in the dirt!

I think the next couple days I'll be stuck doing more responsible activities that are not self serving. Maybe Friday or Saturday hit some trails.

Ok, this thing is awesome! Just adjusting the suspension and she is almost couch smooth like I have been looking for. Adjusting tire pressures down a little from street pressures will make it a dream in the dirt.

It is very smooth for a big single. Tightening down the mirrors has made them more usable at speed.

Need the skid plate though as even cruising slowly on rocky trail you get the rocks kicking up on the bottom. Took a big one to the toes and I wasn't wearing my boots.

I was a little worried at first I'd gotten the wrong bike but the more I use it the more I'm liking it.

Tried using the quick shifter and didn't like it. A bit clunky for my taste. Will continue to use the clutch.

Think I may order up the aftermarket slave cylinder to be ready if the stock one breaks. Known issue.
