Was going to tomorrow but we've got some wind coming in and it ain't mine!

Who knows. Maybe an early morning rip.

Edit: bust this morning. Went outside early and it is smokey in visibility and scent. Got enough problems and bad air inhalation isn't going to be one of them. Will look again tomorrow.

Hate to say it but I'm very bored with local scenery. The dualsport is nice to poke around some of the dirt I haven't seen.

When it comes to road riding I need new material else it just doesn't add up to excitement on two wheels.

I'm looking for a tester route to see how the body can cope with injury and little riding the past couple months with summer heat and all. Nothing terribly close that could offer entertainment.

    Four weeks into recovery.

I've removed all scabs now but still have some swelling/bruising.

Can't quite reach my toes to cut my nails but working on stretching the skin and tissue that is still swollen and binding up.

Skies are clearing up and air quality is supposed to be decent tomorrow.

If I don't put anything on my road rashed areas they dry and become very itchy. Then I scratch the heck out of it. The skin is also glossy and smooth in places. Odd injuries to say the least. For me anyway.

I may have some free time later to take a spin on the FXDR. We'll see.

    I'm ready for a ride.

Still off the diet so pie is a go. My 701 should be ready in the next couple days so I'm going to hitch a ride up and ride it back. Pie is probably going to be on my way home.

Great news! I'm reminded of my broken collarbone last year. Get back out there and post up. :)

You're in TX so I'm going to assume you know a good brisket. Best I've had was Rudy's and County Line.

There was a guy in Vegas that ran a shop that did amazing brisket but for some reason the place got rid of him and somebody else came in to run the place and it was horrid afterwards.

My family thinks so. Some times its hard since each one has different tastes. Letty like the burnt ends and well done. I like mine juicy with a spicy bite, the daughters like it.....well they don’t know what they like. It changes every time I cook.
We do it pretty simple, course ground salt, black pepper, chilies and garlic. Since Letty likes it with crispy ends or crust/bark I don’t wrap.

No pictures but I did just do an errand run on the FXDR. I can ride just fine.

My daughter is doing home schooling so I'm often teaching her and unable to head out whenever I would like.

Matter of fact, I haven't been able to accomplish much since school has started.

There are a few things I need to deal with soon though. Service on the HD and getting the Husky home.

Both will include riding to the service locations.

Trust me, I'm itching really bad to go!

At the same time, this crash has changed my thinking. I'm a little gun-shy with my leg still swollen and still having some bruising and pains.

I've already been scouting out new places to explore since getting the call this morning.

There is so much cool stuff in the middle of nowhere.

That all said, with a recent passing of a family friend and having to spend a lot of time corralling everybody's kids while the families take care of loose ends, I've been stuck at home anyway.

Finally got some work equipment sold so I've got a new business to put together as well. It is tough when the weather is getting good. October being my favorite month in the desert...

Alright girls and boys. I'm back in the saddle and one hurting unit. Street isn't bad but I just covered over 120 miles in the dirt and the last 35 miles or so were downright painful. My back and knees started to hurt pretty good.

Went to some awesome places though. Will post up pics later. Think it is time to dip into the Aleve tonight.

Just a thought. Might want to start the Aleve the night before and the morning of a ride. That's my routine for long days.

Ha ha. Can't help it. Haven't really ridden in a while. It wasn't as cool as I was expecting temps to be. In the 60's when I left and flirting with high 90's at some point.
