1. Hey everyone, We’re going to start a weekly email to surface interesting threads in the forums. No worries, you can easily unsubscribe if you don’t find it interesting. If you’re like me, it’s nice to have someone willing to poke around a big community like ours and find the most interesting stuff. Saves time and I hate missing something great. It worked really well when we had someone discovering the best photos for the home page rotation back in the day. And if you have something fascinating to post, maybe this email does everyone some good by getting it noticed. Let us know what you think when you get it. Your feedback will make it better as we go (thread). Thanks! Baldy & rudy1220

Get a move on, did bit of cruising with the Jialing sidecar on the expressways surrounding Shanghai visiting mates during CNY holidays on rain free days.
Got a lot of bike preventive maintenance done to get ready for some serious 2015 China rides and modifying / building up vehicles as usually during free time.
    CNY public holidays almost over....

Are you really sure you want to buy and wear a MIC = Made In China helmet???
State of the art environmental testing and storage facility outside a helmet manufacturer in Songjiang district of Shanghai (China) spotted today.
    As the saying goes = Got a $5 head ~ Get a $5 helmet.….

Motorcycle Mysteries Motorcycling China - Don't Do It!
Motorcycling China is exciting to say the least. It's a wild west of lawlessness with no respect to road rules. Ride with Koz Mraz and the Shanghai HOGs (Harley Owners Group) from Shanghai to Qingdao on an adventure of a lifetime.

Mate I just moved to Xi'an do you know about any riders around here? I saw a few non-electrical bikes around and even a GS the other day, but I would like to hook up with some riders. Cheers

G'day, welcome to the motherland - enjoy your stay! Sorry, not aware of any active riders over in Xi'an at this stage,
However, the well known Insiders run a company over in Xi'an, might be worthwhile to get in touch with them to get started somehow. Get in touch in case you pass through Shanghai....

I've noticed someone updating a wikipedia page regarding the conversion of a HK licence to a Chinese licence. http://wikitravel.org/wiki/en/index.php?title=Driving_in_China&diff=2393842&oldid=2134732
Whats the official Chinese motor registry website? I can't seem to find it.

Also from what i understand, a tourist cannot register a used bike in China in their name. But are there any documents I can obtain to make it as 'legal as possible' in case i get pulled over? Bill of Sale perhaps?

The vehicle blue and green booklets will state the actual owner, you can draw up all the documents you want but in the end the owner is in the official booklets if one wants to play hard games or the sh#t hits the fan... This is China and everyone is after your hard earned $$$$'s...

Do not be fooled and "purchase" a China Driving License offered by shady visa / license agents as most are fake (not in the national computer system) and some look like drawn with a black crayon by a five year old.... nuff said'....
